What to do with old cats...?

    Just had a major done on my 355. I replaced my OEM cats with Hyper-Flows. The right cat is fine....the left one...lol...well, let's just say you can see all the way through it without any obstructions!!!:eek:

    I have heard it is possible to rebuild them. I would like to sell them if possible but doesn't eBay have some sort of policy against selling used emissions equipment?

    Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    I sold mine through eBay Canada. Didn't get much but a couple hundred dollars helps a little nowadays.

    Used cats can be sold on ebay but you should put a disclaimer that the used cats must be tested by a qualified company prior to installation.....if you check the ads ('ferrari catalytic) by the professional ebay sellers you will see this disclaimer.

    Or you can post them on ferrariads.com here. ;) And yes, the good one has value...not much, but at least a $200, perhaps a bit more. And even the blown out one can be rebuilt...I believe Miller Catalyzer will install a new ceramic core for $600 or so. They cut it open, secure the new core and weld it back up. A friend had it done for his 355. Rifledriver gave us the referral for Miller Catalyzer.

    I posted them on FerrariAds and on eBay. I put a Buy-It-Now price of $750 with free shipping. Maybe a little high but we'll see. I am open to any reasonable offers from any FChat members. I also posted an ad for a set of 4 tail lights for sale, too.

    I think I saw their ad on ebay just a few days ago......but it is gone today.
    Was $600.00 per cat or $1100. for 2 cats plus shipping.
