The Slutmobile :) LOL What is a reasonable offer on this car ? It cost $300k to build, the owner paid $210 seven years ago & wants his $ back ROFL THATS not gonna happen, at least not with me Bcus I want the $150k back on my Countach & the $72k back on my 308 but thats wont happen either unless Santa is in a very good mood this XMas

So he turned down $105 at an auction & I can get a perfectly good Modena spyder for 180k , A nice stock 512M ranges between $130-150.

Also IT HAS NO TOP, ZERO, ZIP, NADA So if it rains I'll have to have some sort of Jeep Bikini top to throw up & it has been known to rain here in Miami

It does have twin turbos from Norwood, Perhaps the plan was to outrun the storm? :)

So with all those parameters in mind what would you, reasonable, offer for the slutmobile ?

IMO....its worth about $115K tops. I don't know exactly how much an interior would cost, but lets say you spend about $35K putting it back to stock (except for the convertible part). You'll have an interesting convertible cruiser w/TTs for about $150K.

I'm not completely savvy on Ferrari parts & labor, so I might be either a little bit or way off.

Also drop in a chrome roll bar & later a Koenig body kit & it would the Friggin Awesome :)
thinking of eventually repainting in Azzuro California or Lamborghini's Blue Mica w a blue or cream interior

Isn't this a thing of beauty!!

If I was looking to by this I'd offer to pay less than the current market value of an 512M; less by the amount of the cost to convert back to a stock F512M, plus the decreased value from doing major body work. Pulling a number out of the air, I'd say the value should be $75-80K.

It would be worth significantly more to just three types of people- 1)someone with absolutly no taste, 2)someone looking for this exact type of car (see type 1), 3)ostrich farmers.

    All the best

I agree with Tom. If anyone on this board can pull of Ostrich interior, beside my cool buddy Wildwarrior, it is you William.

Go for it, keep it a while, and when the Murcie Spyder comes in, sell it. :)

did the owner give you the usual sales spiel about "it was owned by a celebrity, thus making it more collectible and valuable" *****?

    Seriously? $115-$120k tops.

Interior restoration to original or something else should cost more than $5k.

    Wheels, sky's the limit.

Top (or lack therof)? Don't drive it with any fear of bad weather.

Btw what is it with sports stars and crazy interiors? Shaq has a lambo with the interior fully covered with some kind of exotic alligator.

I guess when you have so much money you have to give the cars the added touch.

Based on what you paid for your countach and 308 vs current market the price should be 75k. Another way of looking at it would be the price of a cut
512m say maybee 120k a bit extra for the engine and then a deduction for the "customization" of the interior, I would say 100-120k. But then my suggestion is based on rationality, if you really want it...

    (above)Heh... design by Crown Royal.

Celebrity or not that 512m is ruined. It's worth LESS with all that pimp-**** on it. The rakes are gone which, technically is not DOT legal. Some of these celebs have horrific taste.

If I were in William's spot, I'd scoop it up for the pure fact that it's a 512m... a limited production TR series. I would then begin the task of stripping that gawd awful crap that has been applied to it and put it back to 'normal'.

The spyder conversion IMO, is not that bad. San Diego weather is almost perfect for that car.

    $75-80K........

It's a parts car IMHO.........and to me it's not worth the $105K he declined.

Pull the engine and transaxle for your other car.....and part it out......

What would Norwood charge to do that motor anyways ?
