I am in the process of replacing my 360 modena driver door mechanism. 1. Picture 1. It was a major PITA to remove the cable hooks, literally took me 10 min for each. 2. picture 2&3 the clip that ties down the cable to the door panels. There are 4 of them. Only 1 clip I can remove without breaking them because the back of the clip was accessable. The other three are still there, the back of which cannot be accessed. I tried to use different kind of pliers to squeeze them but they won't budge. 3. picture 4, the ball joint for one of the linkages. It took me 20 min to take them apart, the strength there was unbelievable! Or no tools needed and I am just a slightly handicapped weekend warrior. Your fingertips ! Seriously. But, if you must.... a small flat blade screwdriver is good to twist & pry underneath all those.
The first one ... just push up on the open side and both those tabs will slip off the rod. Then rotate and the rod will come out. Easy Peasy. But some of the multi-connectors for electrical are a new discovery every time and they're always black, dirty and if you get it wrong they crack and you're f'ed. Plastic fails under heat. So I understand why you ask.
Any of the notched tools here usually work well for wire or cable loom clips, or even the ball stud pivot connection. Image Unavailable, Please Login
For picture #2 I just push on one side with a blade screwdriver near the body. If you squeeze the two sides together the clip will come out with a gentle pull. Good luck.
I use a combination of small screwdrivers, needle nose pliers and door panel removal tools to get those clips off. It is not the most fun job as access is somewhat limited. You also have to remember that all of those plastic clips are 12+ years old and have hardened with age. They become brittle and sometimes break no matter what you do. They are not very expensive. It is usually a good idea to replace the yellow cable clips, so you don't have to go in there a second time.
