understand completely. i'm 10 years older than you and am now looking for my first Ferrari. I thought I had it all figured out as well, but the gentleman that mentioned that your perspective will change with time was absolutely correct. I thought I had achieved success of being able to buy a bmw when I was 24, a house when I was 28 and had multiple toys. I also have had to deal with a critical illness that completely changed the entire fabric of my being. I wake up happy, and grateful for the amazing gift God has given me. I was what I guess you would call an emergency room Christian, bargaining with him when it convenienced me. It took almost losing my life twice to be able to finally really LIVE.

that being said; you have the right attitude for success I believe. you have a clear understanding of what you want, seem to have the maturity and vision to really know what it's going to take to get there and I commend that for a person of your age. men will always be boys. find something you really have a passion for, success will come naturally because it will never feel like work and you already have a natural drive to succeed and are not afraid to take risks to find that success. envision where you are now, and where you want to be. materially, spiritually, and as a man. don't just do it REALLY picture it in great detail. open your eyes and start putting together a mental roadmap of how to get where you are to where you want to be. best of luck and I hope you find what you're looking for.

Self-discipline. The ability to make yourself do what you should be doing at all times, without the encouragement or enforcement of others, and even when you don't feel like doing it.

Yes, lazy people get lucky occasionally; but relying on luck is no strategy for success.

Couple of things. First you have to define success. Get a million dollars? That's not success to allot of people. Second, hard work alone won't cut it, you need luck, and the ability to recognize it. Third, you said you spend 16 hours a day on the computer? That's your main obstacle.

Yep you are one cocky kid. What do you have to offer anyone but NO experience in anything. Got a college education? Start by going to school and learning everything you can about your interests - leading to exploring your natural talents & how you can combine them w/ your education. Then maybe you can find a real career making good money at what you are good at.

for him not to get back on and at least thank people for their feedback and taking time out to give out real, thoughtful advice I think speaks not too highly of the creator of this thread. It turned out to be another "Hey guys I know some of you have money, please give some to me" type of thread which is shameful and selfish. probably find the exact same thread on a few other exotic car forums and maybe a yachting forum as well. that's how his 16 hours per day may be being spent.

Don´t forget, that most succsessful businessmen come from the US. It is somehow the land of the free (limited or unlimited nowadays).

You would never be successful in Germany as in same cases, which happen in the US.

The US allow you to be successful and to reach your goal (independent on where you are from and what your parents are).

Otherwise: In China, Southkorea, Japan and most European countries it is damn hard to be successful as a self-made man (Most of them are inherited).

Saying this: Not only the persistence, craftmanship, luck are important, but also your environment.

    Good luck.

By FChat standards, this thread is still a 'newborn'. Nothing wrong with starting a thread and sitting-back to read the responses that accrue over several weeks. Rome wasn't built in an afternoon....
