What type of socket for TR plugs

So I purchased a couple of blister packs containing two each 3/8 panel grommets designed to pass wire through. See how nicely the grommet sits over the end of the TR sparkplug?

Using some superglue that sticks rubber, I glued three grommets together.

The external diameter of the grommet was a tight fit in the inside rounded section of the 18mm deep set socket. I glued this inside the socket and let it go off.

Now I have a home made 18mm spark plug socket that has terrific grip on the spark plug and cradles nearly the entire length of the ceramic part of the plug.

Total cost $13.40.
