From reading about the 355 in forums and in the workshop manual I know there were some changes to the breaks and maybe other part of the car. Does any one know what these changes were? Anyone with listings out there?

From what years?? The 95 had the 2.7 versus the 5.2 for later years. Other than that most is unchanged..

I am trying to figure out what was changed from 98 to 99. I know the brakes were upgraded but I dont know what the actual change was. I think there might have been some other changes as well, as the workshop manual has specific chapters for the 99 version.

It's pretty common to have updates model year to model year, but the general public doesn't always hear about them. The well known one on the 355 is the valve guides sometime in mid-'98. I'd like to see a listing too. What on the brakes was upgraded?

I suspect the main reason for the specific "1999" chapter was the introduction of the F1 transmission.

For the US the only other changes I can think of were:

    Sony radio replaced by Becker
Fluid lines for F1 transmission updated late in the year
    Valve Guide Material
Supposedly Exhaust Manifolds mid to late MY99
Availability of more options re: Fiorano package / Carrozzeria Scaglietti.

F1 was available in 1998, maybe 1997 as well...

If my memory serves me correct, they did an update to the connectors for the fuel rails. The older ones were breaking, and I do remember reading about some crispy bbq'd 355's.

There were no changes to the brakes, other than the option of drilled rotors and red painted calipers.
