    We all read the message about the hard drive failure. But what really happened? Why did it take so much longer this time? Is there a "Kimble" factor involved? Or is this all just plain speculation?

    to you computer nerds: a harddisk crash is a harddisk crash, there is no kimble factor to it.
    what is stunning to me is that, in spite of my 5 year rossa subscription, rob was obviously not able the take care of a common and reasonable harddisk solution such as RAID 5, as it was already mentioned in the other thread. far from it! he is calculating a harddisk crash every year! unbelievable!

    I know nothing about this.......but a dear friend of mine (working @ Microsoft Headoffice) confirmed "the Kimbel desaster" early this morning to me.

    raid 5 is already mentioned in the other thread. and yes, there were many forums hacked lately and it may be our lovely friend schmitz, however it has nothing to do with a harddisk crash, just coincidence.....or maybe that's why fchat was not hacked :)

    I agree!!!
    i don't know what it's called.. but he should have a backup system that takes over in the sec. that the first HD fails. Any other big chatrooms have that :) Especially in places where people pay for "the fun" :)
