Hey everyone, hows it going! I'm 19 , new to this forum, and have been wanting to ask some exotic owners this questions for a long time. A lot of people kind of laugh at me when I say that I will own an exotic (I'm shooting for the 458 Italia to be honest), and that really, REALLY gets to me. I don't think you should live your life specifically aiming for money, "just because", I think it should at least come with other perks- Happiness, Memories, ect - as opposed to bragging and being a prick. See, my family used to have the money to buy things like Ferrari's, Boats, houses, ect (And obviously I'm not trying to waltz in here with a look at me attitude considering "Had" is past tense and I'm sure there are PLENTY of multimillionaires on this forum) and I've always been dissapointed that it was never spent right. That it went into stupid stuff that really just ended up causing more issues. So finally one day I woke up and said "No, I want to buy my own and not be riding on my parents coat tails". So right now I am pursuing what I love and doing pretty good, but I still need more time to grow, and one day- I will own an exotic.

The reason I am writing this is because as I work and put time/effort into making money, I constantly think about what it would be like to walk into a dealership for the first time and KNOW that I can afford one of these cars, whether it be financed, or a suitcase of cash...just knowing I will own one of these. Right now I am at the stage where its like

---I know I will be able to afford one, one day/It stills feels somewhat out of reach----

The way life usually works is that if you REALLY want something (Not necessarily physical possessions) , you can get it. So as I wait and work, and watch videos on youtube, I would love to hear some stories about the first time you bought one.

Btw- I live in a really rich town (I'm not rich lol, I own a 98 maxima on 19's. Impressive, ay?) and I constantly see Ferrari's, Lambo's, Lotus's, Porsche's, ect. I love it, because it inspires me and makes me want to get off my ass and just DO IT, like I Have been.

Sorry for the long post and if this is in the wrong section please forgive me.

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum

Today I own your dream car -- a 458 Italia. And, I won't lie to you -- it is absolutely wonderful.

But when I was 24 (a long time ago), I scraped up ever cent I had and bought a basket case non-running Dino GT. In those days, no one really wanted Dino's so I got it for 8 grand -- which was a ton of money for me (multi-millionaire I am not!).

Over 2 years and with the help of a lot of friends (and a lot more precious money), I finished it and got it on the road.

Why am I saying this? Because even today, there are inexpensive Ferrari's out there. For the price of a new Fiat 500, you can get a pretty good GT4 and even perhaps a Mondial. For a new Camry or Prius, a 348 is in reach.

It's a fine goal you have but don't limit yourself to only accepting the top ring of the ladder when the climb can be even more fun. Ferrari DNA runs throughout the range. Enjoy it whenever you have the opportunity is my advice!

Great advice, couldn't have expressed it any better.
