    Don't know the original battery maker, but you should feel very comfortable with an Interstate - VERY high quality battery, IMO.

    There are no early '90s cars running around with original batteries.

    (I'll second Aaron's comment, Interstate was recommended to me by my Ferrari mechanic.)

    When these cars were new, Tom (ferrarioldman) told me that there was a TSB from FNA to replace all OEM batteries with Interstate. That's one of the reasons we've been an Interstate dealer for nearly twenty years.

    My car has an Optima Red Top. Never had a problem.... but it's also maintained on a Deltran Battery Tender whenever it's parked.
