Well you know what I mean. The first recent V8 car, the F248 F1 (2006) is the quickest overall V8 car so far as well on Fiorano when compared to the F2007 and F2008.

Yup. Even though the F2004 seems to get all the "praise", as good as it was the F2002 did have a better winning ratio.

But once again, there slower pace is due to rule changes brought in by the FIA to slow the cars down.

Yep, your right. But F2004 was the faster out-right package of the two.

I know some were changed from '06-'07. What rules were changed from '07-'08 to slow them down? What ever it was it didn't work too much, the difference in lap times is tiny.

Your right, there was not many changes for '08, but i guess the ones that would of mostly effected the performance where,

    - Ban on Traction control, launch control and several other electronic aids including engine braking reduction.

    - The Engine freeze which is to last until 2013 was started in 2008

    - A standard Electronic Control Unit for all teams

    - Testing limited to 30,000 km during the 2008 calendar year

    - Gearboxes to last four races, 5 place grid penalty for a gear box change

Thanks mate! Maybe that's why some people still think the F2002 was the dominant one.
