    Hah, Fun!

Well, I'm not that active of a poster, but I've been around for 9 months or so --

    "Hey everyone, I'm new here

I live in Barton Creek, on the Foothills Course, I've seen many 360's,355's and a 456 at the Country Club. There's a red 355 Spider(I believe it's a spider not 100% though), a Red 575M F1 (Saw it againt today, gorgeous) at St. Andrews. Also, after visiting autostrada a few months ago (my dad was test-driving an esprit), a man there had mentioned a Enzo here in austin...Haven't seen it, but if it were for real, that'd be pretty darn awesome. I believe he had said yellow...Oh, and there was also a red testarossa in the service department, and last weekend in seattle i saw a red F50 and a bazillion other nice F's and some maser's (my dad is buying a GS hopefully)...i suppose that part isn't austin though."

Wow, I didn't capitolize my "i"'s. Surprisng, since that has to be my biggest pet-peeve.
    :)

Not sure the %, some are there some aren't. Everything on the new board was about 50%, although by user and you and I both lost all images. Some users got lucky and had everything, like MM's repeat of the same "I'd Hit It" images hundreds of times. :)

Well, I did exactly as you said. I got myself some nice boyscout "Unbelievable Butter" Popcorn, and decided to read up.

Well, I'm surprised that I'm saying this, but, Rob....the way you acted really disgusts me. Granted, I don't know you well, and I'm sure you don't have the faintest clue who I am, but, I used to respect you. Alot. Probably in the top three members on FC. But, ofcourse, me talking means nothing to you, or, any of you for that matter, since I only have 200 posts, and don't own a Ferrari.

I completely agree with Sunny's post. He summed up exactly how I feel about FChat.

I actually enjoyed MM's posts. Granted, some of the "I'd hit that" images got old, and eventually annoying, I thought he had a great character. After all, when I joined FC, didn't know anyone here, David was the one who welcomed me, and informed me of all the local Ferrari events.

Rob, hopefully you won't take this as a shot at you, but, I just felt I needed to express my opinion. I mean, I still enjoy FC just the same. And well, well, judge me how you wish.

Mike, (or, any Austin member, for that matter) Does Dave attend Austin events?

Oh ****...what did I start. Rob, sorry for opening an old subject.

Dave is the local club president, so yes, he attends the events.

I'm going to try my hardest to make it to next month's breakfast.

I'm sorry if I'm ranting about an old subject. But, I just felt, that well, I needed to put my two cents in. I'm not trying to start a war, just stating how I felt about it all.

I never really apologized to Rob, but I hope things are cool between us. It was more of a misunderstanding than anything else, IMO. I talked to Dave about what happened and Dave knows he was a pain on the web.

Where did this come from? You can't just say that open ended. I'll give you a couple days to post and quote exactly what "disgusts me".

Mike didn't know me very well at the time, but knew David from off the site. Mike has hopefully gotten to know me a little better since.

David and I are actually decent friends offline and always have been.

Can you really say you know the ENTIRE situation better than I do? Do you know the years of history MM had on FerrariChat.com? MM still reads FC almost daily and it is his choice not to post. I have to say though the community is for the better since MM stopped posting. It wasn't 90% of his posts, but the 10% that were out of line caused 90% of our community problems. Whether it was MM's fault or other users like Art might be immaterial at this point. The fact is that Art doesn't act up and most of that crap has gone away with MM.

There is David Scott the good all around guy that many of us know and like, then there is Maranelloman the user. If you don't recognize the difference and fault me for managing Maranelloman the user, then you are just simply ignorant to the situation and the positive results have been confirmation of my good past decisions.

I never said I knew the situation better than you, and I'm sure I don't.
For all I know, MM was very deserving of a permenant ban.
What disappointed me was the way you handled the situation.

And, one thing? From what I understand:

IF that is correct, and you chose not to keep it confidential, then, that is really, really pathetic.

That's a reason? Give me a break. Most of what I post in isn't about Ferraris. Should I be banned?

Whether he's in a position to put his opinion in or not (...which he should be...aren't everyone's opinions accepted?), What on Earth makes you say something like that . Real Professional.

Calling him "Scum and Pathetic"...? Wow.

For saying what? His opinion he made from the given facts about you?

Obviously you are missing some basics, MM was never permanently banned. It is his choice not to post.

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/member.php?do=getinfo&userid=127

I apologized for this, but two major points that give this less credibility...

    1) If I remembered it was supposed to be confidential, I obviously wouldn't have posted it. So it was never stressed or communicated to me this was important enough to be unforgettable. What personal information can you take from a username "frogman" anyway? I had already removed all his posts per their request, so there was no relevant information.

    2) If this information was so damn important, why was there a public drama made about it from Maranelloman, but no request to remove anything? If it was life threatening to his family, David knows my number and would have called me right away. Instead he used this publicly for his own fight.

The facts are this is a Ferrari community. If you aren't a Ferrari enthusiast and are here for other reasons, then you don't belong. David is obviously a Ferrari enthusiast, I was just posting facts that David spent most of his time arguing politics with Art in P&R than giving out advice as a Consultant for FerrariChat.com. I don't ban anyone for that, but don't claim they're anything more than what they are.

No better person to address this than Mike himself. He knows why he ticked me off and I now understand where he was coming from. I think we both respect each others perspective and resolved anything long ago.

Chris, I have no idea who you are and don't care. No one calls me out like you have done without a response. I will sit here all week and go back and forth with you if wanted. David and I have no issues. Mike and I have no issues. Most of the users on FC and I have no issues. If you want to continue I will own you more and more. You are only hurting yourself looking bad in front of many people that really know me, unlike you. You would be surprised how many people are reading this thread and will remember you.

No, I know. I might've said that the wrong way --- I was making an example, as to how I don't know the full story of how MM's behaivior was here. (I was trying to say, "Hell, for all I know, MM was deserving of a FULL ban, not just a temporary")

Nope. I didn't want to start argueing, I just felt the need to put my two cents in on the whole MM issue.
Own me more and more? C'mon Rob, we're not in Seventh Grade anymore, It's not a flame war, I was just putting in my thoughts on the situation, and then having a calm discussion with you.

Hurting Myself? Maybe, I don't care. People can think whatever and however they want of me. I didn't come here to win a popularity contest.

Maybe I'll end up meeting you in some Texas event in the future. :)

And please, don't take this discussion as a stab at you as a person. I'm referring to the way one specific situation was handled, not who you are as a person.

I'm not perfect, the key for this community is I learn from my mistakes and we move forward. Overall that situation was handled about as well as it could have, but it wasn't without lessons. I hate when things like that happen, but getting tough is part of the job.

IIRC, my first post on this F-Chat (as opposed to the old F-Chat where I was a member as well) went something like:

"Hey Guys!!! You all have such nice cars and houses. What do you do for a living??? I have a GREAT business idea. Would you guys like to provide me with financial support so I can realise my dream of Ferrari ownership??? Am I too young to buy or lease a 360 (I'm only 7 years old)"
