Tony, you muppet! Where have you been??? Love the GMT2 Ceramic by the way! Where did you get a rubber deployant strap?
I'm wearing the Omega Constellation that I inherited from my Dad. He bought it new in 1958. I'd love it if any of you can give me any information on it. I believe it's called a crosshair dial. I hate the Speidel bracelet and would love an original, but I'm not having much luck finding anything. It sure feels small after wearing the 42 and 44mm watches I usually wear. Here's a recent purchase of mine: a 1960 Omega 18k rose gold wristwatch. Omega 266 movement. I wanted a formal watch for use when I wear French cuffs and gold cufflinks. Style is similar to a PP Calatrava; Vacheron, Zenith and GP also used a similar style. Sorry for the poor photo... Image Unavailable, Please Login
My Master Compressor is on a bracelet but otherwise the same. I really love this watch. When my house was burglarized and they stole most of my watches this is the one that I missed the most. Got a replacement pretty quickly too.
That is one big honker. 2.4 CM thick case?! I inherited a '50s vintage Titus swiss auto from my father in law; gold, very similar styling and excellent condition. Got it serviced and a new lizard band, on the winder for occasions that call for a dress watch.
Whichever, it's a bigun. I got my Ferrari SS Scuderia the other day and thought it was big with a 1.1 cm thick x 4.4 cm diameter case.
of course, but you could use it in 4000m depth of water. eventhough i don't think any of the watches will ever experience that.
On the contrary the titanium makes it much lighter. If that watch was stainless steel it would be MUCH heavier. Cool piece.
had this on over the weekend. 1953 Constantin-Vacheron that was a gift from my uncle to my dad when my sister was born. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It sure has. I hope that all is well with you. I was just back in Monterey last week and I was thinking back to that one trip where everyone met up there. That was crazy. Thanks for the link. I might get one for my submariner.
