I agree Chris. Today the Timex Ironman and the Omega Constellation chronometer, gold top, steel back, that I bought in Zurich in January 1956 for $95. Wore it sailing from Napoli to New York, first class, in the Andrea Doria. Still have a menu from the first-class dining room dated January 9, 1956, and a beautiful silver cup on an oak base that I received for winning the table tennis tournament! That watch was on my wrist for almost two years standing officer-of-the-deck watches on the bridge, underway on board U.S.S. Intrepid, an Atlantic Fleet carrier, now a museum in NY harbor.
Here is a new Xmas gift I am enjoying... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Perfect watch for New Years I was reading an online article that said "you know you are a watch guy when you spend New Years alone watching your perpetual calendar move to the next year." It was something along those lines.
