    The manufacturers we were dealing with were timid with using the name Ferrari and decided against any involvement in making the watch.
    Both companies were from Italy which is where we wanted the watch made.
    China is always ready ;-)
    But we're not interested in China.

    Yep, prices on vintage, pointed crown guard, chapter ring dialed, 1675 GMT's are in the stratosphere. I couldn't afford to buy it now so I'm glad I got it when I did.

    Quick search showed several available online for $75-85k

    If it's a steeper discount than these, and you want that model, go for it!
