Something a little different today. A Glycine Airman Base 22 Mystery. Not massively valuable (about $2k) but nicely made, fully automatic fly back from an old Swiss brand. They launched their Airman GMT model in 1953, at the same show in Geneva as Rolex launched their GMT Master. Steel with PVD and showing the time in Abu Dhabi with the red hand as I work there a lot.

Surprising how hard it was to find one with the engine turned bezel AND a Tapestry dial. Fluted and Tapestry? Easy. But engine turned and Tapestry? Nope.

I have a Seiko moonphase without the subdials. It hasn't been worn in decades.

I remember getting my Seiko Moon-phase when I was in High school. That was back in ‘82. I wore it for a number of years and it’s been stored ever since. I have a bunch of watches from that time period including a number of original Swatches new in box’s.
Not I have many more watches but the only one I ever wear is my Sub.

Dave, can you recommend a reasonably priced tool to easily remove the speedy pins as I, too, like the NATO but also favor a more formal strap sometimes. Also is there a "pin" that it better suited for removal? My AD gave me some but there is no place to "grab" and push in the the pin (if that makes any sense)

and the easiest to read ;) my 1986 blue (redialed about 10 years ago) is still running strong, but wish it had the SEL bracelet

I use the Omega tool too. You gotta fiddle around a little to grab it but ALWAYS do it from the back so you don't scratch the front of the lug if it slips.

I'll look around for the Omega - the one I have (yes, completely get the go in from the back v front) just doesn't "grab" - is one of these for use w the NATO a bad idea?
