Neither my former daily nor this Seiko chrono have seen much action in the past months, so I took them both for a spin. Image Unavailable, Please Login
After seeing so many cool Richard Mille watches on this thread, I was able to get what will be one of the last 2020 RM029 as its been discontinued but I absolutely love the watch and will be looking to add more RM's to my collection. Cheers Image Unavailable, Please Login
I paid retail for my RM 029 which was/is a bargain and I was simply fortunate with the timing of my call to the Richard Mille Boutique in NYC and obtain a 2020 model year which is the last year for this watch,. Do you get discounts for your Richard Mille's because if so, please send me the name of your RM provider as I'd love to call them. Cheers!
I'm not much of a Breitling fan, but wearing my late father's watch today which he wore my whole life knowing him. Don't know the history of this model, I'm guessing he bought it some time in the 70s. I only take it out on notable occasions, and I figured mine and mrs soulsea's 20th anniversary today was up there.
Its great that you find occasions to wear the thing. It is remarkable how different people have different tastes (my dad wore a gawd-awful rectangular quartz Longines which he FOUND (!) in a parking lot) (that and his Timex G-Shock). The two outer logarithmic scales (the C and D scales on a slide rule) on your dad's watch are handy for currency conversion. Just point the "1" of the outer scale at the exchange rate and you don't have to move it again (the only movement needed is for grabbing a magnifying glass to read the tiny numbers); one currency on the outside scale and the other on the inside scale.
That's very kind thank you. Tbh, I never bother to set it ... it's always eighty five past sixty seven.
Not to disparage the poster, but a dealer once told me that if the screw heads didn't line up in a circular pattern, that the watch was a fake. Not saying this watch is a fake, but the owner should have the person who serviced it return it to original position. That's the least you can do on a watch that costs this much.
