New (old - 1912) toy: Illinois Watch Co., 18 size, 23 Jewel, Bunn Special, railroad grade watch. What's funny is it lives in a simple case with a white enamel dial and bold Arabic numbers, but when you open the back, you have this!: Image Unavailable, Please Login These big American 18 size tanks have full plates, meaning you can't see the gears through the movement. This is a characteristic of American design, as are the finishes - absolutely stunning machined finishes in the plates - even more impressive in person! I really didn't need another, but couldn't resist... :^) While I don't know it's service history, it's running very well. Well enough that if is keeping time, I may go against my own advice and not service it immediately. Regards, Art S.
