    Hey guys,

I'm looking for some recommendations for a gift for a buddy of mine that is a pilot - just got his private license a few months ago.

Nothing overly extravagant, but maybe something in the $500-1000 range? A watch or something else pilot-specific that he may not already have? I know he has a couple headsets already.

    Thanks!

Is there a site to find good user reviews of watches for pilots? Sporty's has several watches but very few user reviews to read about.

Check with user name VTC here on Fchat for watch reviews -- he may even carry some (see "affordable watch thread" in the "watches" section)

a good cheap pilot gift is a little survival kit, most us know we should have one, yet we never get around to buying and then taking along.
