What would you rather have? Money no object, and you have to keep it for at least 5 years...........
Whatever let the lambo guys have their fun. Lamborghini is an awsome car company, they built a great great car that demands respect. Ferrari is the greatest car company in the world, and the only company capable of building a car like the 599. I'm stating this as fact...not opinion...flame on.
The Murci is more exotic looking, so if that floats your boat, go for it. IMO - - The 599 is the best front-engined car made in decades - The LP640 is exciting and exotic, but those exotic looks will get old after a while and after you realize that the Diablo 6.0 is still better looking - If the LP 640 has the same cramped, coffin-like interior of the Murci, then the only version worth having will be the LP640 roadster - After L comes out with the first half a dozen "special editions" of the LP640, your car will suddenly feel much less special

It's a good question and quite a tough one for me - the LP640 is fabulously flamboyant, the 599 fabulously capable. As a supercar I'd prefer a Zonda over an LP640 (and yes I do realise it costs about 2.5 times as much), but I prefer GT cars to wear an Aston Martin badge (and no I don't care that they are not as capable as the 599 - it's an emotional connection/British thing - and also, I'm pretty sure the DBS will be a massive step forward from the Vanquish), but then on the other hand, the 599 is very much jack of all trades - a fantastic sports car that also manages to out-GT pretty much any GT car... as this is a money no object question (and therefore I'm likely to have plenty of other cars), and the fact that I like to do things by extremes; I'm going to say LP640 by the narrowest of margins on the basis that it is soooooo outrageous! [Flame suit now securely fastened!] ROFL - I like people who have strong opinions... sorry, facts! I'm a shortass, so this doesn't apply to me - finally a reason why being 5'5" is a GOOD thing - I'll take mine as a coupe!
I don't know, man. I'm 5'6" or so. You sit down really low, can't see out the back. It's not a pleasant experience in my opinion. It just does not feel like an airy cabin at all. It wasn't to my taste, but tastes are personal and that's why they make more than one car, right?
I'm not impressed with the look of the Murci. Compared to something like a Diablo 6.0, it looks fat and unathletic. 599 would be my choice easily.
599. I had a chance to watch two of them put thur their paces at the Maranallo test track. I still have fond memories of that day.
Good to see that the 599 has grows on so many people - Hard to imagine, if you read threads from when it came out
Of course the 599 is better. Who in the hell would spend more money on car thats slower, less comfortable and doesn't look as good,it is just dumb as dunkey's ****.
Thats an interesting point. If the 599 is so good why ask? You would never see this question on l-power because the 599 is a non-contender so far as the LP640 buyer/owner is concerned.
"the 599 is a non-contender so far as the LP640 buyer/owner is concerned" I wonder if the LP640 is a noncontender as far as the 599 buyer/owner is concerned? I have a 599 coming soon, and would choose it over the LP640 every time for a lot of reasons, but I could see owning both. I was very impressed during my short LP640 test drive.
obv not seeing as youve just said you could see yself having both. i bought an LP and would never consider a 599 simply because it looks too ordinary and has nothing to offer over and above the LP. come on.. does it really look like a £200k motor?
599 GTB and an LP640 Roadster, best way to solve the problem If I must choose one, then the Fiorano. What an incredible car.
yes the lp640 is really desirable but the 599 is beyond the lp640. the 599 components are all newly designed and has a brand new engine that was placed previously in an ultimate super car. the lp640 just got an upgraded engine with new bumpers and side skirts. the interior is pretty much the same
