For reference, I cracked a carbon bicycle in half last year. I sent it to a place in Ohio that repaired the carbon (structurally, extremely sound) and resprayed the whole thing. Mind you, I went with a custom paint deal --- but the whole carbon repair was less than $1500.

I guess it depends on what you want the visual appearance to look like. The reality is, it'll get cracked again, and again, and again. It's just a rough operating environment.

Thanks for the input im in the bicycle business and its a pain when they crack. Very often its just the color but nothing you can garantee and also hard to tell the customer so its tough in both ways. The upside to this repair is that its "just cosmetic damages" not like a carbon frame that needs to hold up weight or movement. and no special paint either.

I had a carbon diffuser redone on my F430 that looked to be in similar condition to yours at the same time I had some paint work done. The shop did it for about $500 or so on top of the other work they were already doing. It's not perfect but its damn close now.

Does anyone know a company called carbon tech in US? Contact info or webpage? Been searching but can't find it.

I apologize for the **** photo but its the best I can have -- you can just make out the delamination on the leading edge of the diffusor -- a lot of it looked like that but the edges were the worst by far. This photo was from the day I bought the car, my body shop had the car within a week to repair the carbon so unfortunately I didn't take many photos of the issue

    Check with https://www.swecomposite.se/ in Rimbo.
He is one of the best, he spend a lot of time in the US working with carbon, but I think he is home in Sweden during spring/summer.

    Long story short.

I've sold this diffuser above to a really screwed up, new member here on this forum.

to avoid fees and he wanted to see the diffuser first i sent it first and said, pay me when you get it. Put a lot of trust to this guy. Diffuser ends up with some damages as pictures shows.

He said we split the cost and he would send me a amount but he's going away for a while, this is back in February. Git payed less than agreed in beginning of April when I contacted him. I asked why..

He's claiming he has payed 900 usd invoice for this repair. Sounds very high I said, can you show me the invoice ? Gets totally radio-silence... asked again and "he's not up for it" "I don't have the time" he says.

I said: you making me paying for it so it's not more than right I should see it. (We split the cost)

Now he thinks I'm "harassing" him with my pm when asking... he even said the diffuser was broken like this before I sent it. With makes no sense as I'm sending it to him without any pre-payment.

Shouldn't I have the right to see the Invoice as I'm paying for it?

    What do you think?

I have found that more often than not, folks on here are good to work with and do the right thing, I have also found at times this is not the case

    This sounds like the latter

We're you able to pursue shipping damage reimbursement ?
