Sitting here enjoying a nice glass of wine ruminating on a 2000 550 I came across today. 2000, 250 gto package, tubi, 15k miles, PERFECT. Titanium w/navy interior, impeccable ownership history, service done...at what price can I not refuse?

Navy interior? Do you mean navy blue? If so, I'd pass.

If not - car sounds perfect. A 550 is a great buy at $150k in my opinion, so any current price should be unresistable. :) Principally, you should consider if the car connects with you. If so, then paying a bit more than market price is perfectly acceptable for a very good example, which this one sounds like it is. I paid a bit of a premium for mine (which, incidentally is also a 2000 that had 15k miles on when I bought it in 2007), never regretted it because that car was the right example for me. Perfect colour/interior combo, and perfect mechanically.

Not sure what the 250 GTO package is. The only 250 GTO reference I know of is the 250 GT grille, which I believe was only available as an option on a 575.

Not just rear shelf, also roof. BTW it is called 250 GT package, not GTO. This is because the 250GT/L and 250GT SWB had this option.

Kasel- I personally think navy blue interiors look great, especially with silver, blue or titanium paint. It sounds like a very nice car. My 575M hs more mileage than that. Around the mark frefan set would be good. Start at $75K and see what happens if you offer cash.

I have that option, From my build sheet:

    CARB - Interior carbon trim
    DAY1 - Daytona style seat
    LOGO - Scuderia Ferrari shields
PIP1 - Piping in color upon request
RUF2 - Headliner with diamond stitch
SHF1 - Rear shelf leather upholstered
STC1 - All stitching in color

There is no mention of a 250 GT package, but I know that is what its called, I don't have the window sticker, only a copy of the build sheet.

I mentioned it to the shop that is covering a console tray I'm making and he said he would do a rear shelf in diamond stitching for around 3K.

On the console tray, it came out good, but they used the wrong color thread :( so Im doing another.

Dave- You have to hate it when something like that happens. That quote of $3K sounds high for just the rear shelf.

Yep. Try Fernando at Prestige Ferrari Upholstery in the LA area. Quote should be around $1800.

I guess I misspoke, or wasn't clear, I already have the full 250GT option including quilted headliner, along with the full carbon package.
