Dealer quoted $4500/yr to put NP on years 8-12 on a base 2012 California. What's in it for him?

Profit, pure and simple. What is the liklihood that you will have $4,500 per year repairs that are covered by the program? I think not.

I prefer to self-insure. Just MHO.

11 years of F430 ownership (2 cars), both relatively high mileage. Never came close to $4,500 in repairs in any year. Way ahead with no dealer protection plan.

Might as well get the dealer installed "fabric protector" and "undercoating" while you are at it.

I should have given more details; was looking at an early California. Lots of stories about the DCT. This is a very low mile car but almost out of warranty. Hasn't had time to break yet. I was thinking of the NPW as a bargaining chip. Just wanted to have an idea what it costs the dealer. Obviously FNA gets a slice.
