Well, sometimes things gotta go when one gets strapped.

I have a 1985 triple black Mondial Cab with 66k miles on it and loads of service receipts. Owned for 3 year and in those 3 years only 3000 miles were added to it.

Due to being busy I have put off a service that it needs, also needs a new clutch seeing as the last time it was done it was a poor reline.

One of the previous owners spent ~$30000 to have Bob Norwood turbocharge this car, I actually met the guy at ICF '06.

Car hasn't been abused in the years I've owned it, garaged, etc.
I'm wondering what a fair asking price is before I put it on Ferrariads.

    Hey Mate,

I think the car is gonna have to appeal to speical buyer. Some Fguys prefer originality, and others dont mind. Hard to say what the real price would be, but i think being as open and honest about it like you have mentioned about the service and clutch issue will bold well on a perspective buyer. Its hard to assess your car without seeing it first hand, pictures at the minimum may not do it justice. Post some detailed pics, get that engine bay nice and clean, and point out the weak spots first, then focus on the strong points and maybe the number will be to your liking.

    Good Luck !!

K, I've got pictures, but I'm about to head off to work so they'll be up later.

Just went for a drive, realized how much I'm going to miss this car.

    Heres what she looks like.

No the car isn't blue, though the shade certainly gave all the pictures a heavy blue tint.

No engine bay pics yet, those will come tommorrow.

Anyone even have an idea what I should ask for given the addition to the motor?

I forgot to mention, yes those are 360 wheels, and I do have what the car came on, although I don't like them one bit because they're a miss matched set.

I would sell it for what I had in it $ wise. So what you paid and what ever else you spent on it along with ad costs and maybe a few hundred for your time. As long as you tell the potential owner what is wrong it's not a problem. My 2 cents

Annd, I added in engine pics. Would have gotten underbody, but the garage was too cold and the lift wouldn't push it!

The turbo is visible here, it's a Turbonetics turbo with ceramic ball bearings, unsure of exact model of the turbo because they offer several with ceramic ball bearings and it was on the car when I got it.

I've thought of reselling for what I got it for, but I picked it up for near a steal because the guy wrote a horrible ebay ad and noone else bid on it. Only reason I did was because of the little note at the bottom saying Norwood had done the engine.

OK so based on what I have seen an 85 fair market value is somewhere between $28 to $35 K . So if the paint and body is good and the interior is good I would look at around $30 - $32K . My 2 cents

Interior is perfect. Carpets are perfect. Paint has spider scratches only visible in light. (It's 22 years old, what can you expect?)

I'll list it on ferrariads and be straight and upfront about it.

Hairlines can be dealt with. Not sure you'd want to invest in a great detail job if you're selling, but someone skilled with a dual-orbital buffer could work magic on it.
