Yes, the oil sands in Alberta. He lives here though. He commutes. He loves sushi. He missed his plane in Calgary, so dinner is off. Decided to stay in. Made a tuna melt and had some New England clam chowder from a can. Not bad.
Can't eat soup from a can anymore. Too salty for my taste buds Lavendou in Dallas. Always a good meal. Ah man. Looks good! Been busy Eating restaurant and fast food and takeout. We miss the home cooking. Son is occupied with his new friend so no help there either. Maybe this weekend we can cook a good meal. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I grabbed a burger and onion rings at A&W last night. Its snowing pretty heavily here now. Since it doesn't snow often here, people don't have good snow tires. Lots of accidents. So tonight I'll stay in and make Kirkland pesto linguine. I also bought a box of frozen chicken cordon bleu's at Costco. Think I'll have one with the pesto.
Chick in some beans and you have a French cassoulet, which by happenstance I almost ordered last night! Looks tasty, Ron. T
To my Tikka Masala I also add in some fresh chopped apple and some dried cherries just before serving. Gives a nice crunch and sweetness. Served over rice of course. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I read your post to my wife and we both said "Yum" simultaneously. I recall having an Indian dish with golden raisins in it, and it was a nice little sweet treat amid the heat. Awesome idea...T

A good homemade vinaigrette, chuck some pomegranate seeds on there, a nicely chilled white wine, and turn that frown ☹️ upside down . T
Yes. We used to love Bistro D'Oc in DC, but it closed. Now Rue Lepic in SF is our favorite for snails. Wife and I were wondering the other night, who was the first person who looked at a snail and thought "hey, that looks good to eat!" T

Salad streak is over...made Indian tonight. They had great cauliflower at the farmers market so we made; - Alo Gobi (cauliflower and potato masala) - Palak Paneer (spinach with cheese) - Garlic Naan The Alo Gobi was very good, the Palak was not as good as the prior times we made it, but we are getting much better at the naan (turns out using a lot of garlic/salt butter to brush the outside of the dough while grilling it makes it taste good, who knew ) Palak ingredients: Image Unavailable, Please Login Alo Gobi ingredients: Image Unavailable, Please Login Final dinner: Image Unavailable, Please Login

Pizza Hut here has a pizza special for a large meat lovers. Its $10 bucks. So I'm doing that tonight!
Image Unavailable, Please Login About once a month or so the wife buys pizza for her crew. Half love the meat lovers pizza, the other veggie. Nothing in between. Indian tonight. Diced an onion, celery and tomato. Broccoli. Turmeric powder. Butter chicken sauce. Garlic powder. Chicken stock. Red lentils. Chicken. Image Unavailable, Please Login Before much simmering. Image Unavailable, Please Login Just about done. Per an excellent suggestion above by @Alpintourer, added some dried cherries. Think I'll add those a bit closer to the end next time as they'll likely retain a tad more texture. Great taste nonetheless. Top tip - left over Faust cab sauv goes well with Indian food! T
I had the best cauliflower at House Brasserie last month for a work event. From their menu, it's Brown Butter Aioli, Parmesan, Raisin, Caper. The brown butter aioli was what set it off. On a side tangent, the Hotel Valley Ho was where our company 3-day long annual kick-off was, and the food there was really good.
