Did a storage locker run. Stopped at Popeyes. CDN Popeyes has more choices for chicken sandwiches. Had a Cajun chicken sandwich and onion rings. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Crappy weather here and cold. Ended up making a great throw down - Classic French style venison stew. Simply a treat every time I make it! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh Max. IMO at Popeyes you have to stay with the fried chicken and avoid the sides. No sammiches either. T
Looks like a great meal for a cold, dank day. Do you hunt or buy the venison? Image Unavailable, Please Login This was the view outside our window this morning. Good job weather guy! That looks like a tad more than a dusting to me. That means chicken soup. Image Unavailable, Please Login Usual veggies, chicken breast, orzo, and cracked an egg in there toward the finish. Interesting! You put the brisket in raw or smoke it and then make the chili? Look forward to seeing how this turns out...T
I'm just putting it in raw and let it meld together. Trying a chili spice blend packet my friend recommended trying.
Picked up Indian and brought it home. Had a bit of everything; some palak paneer, and a tandoori mixed grill with two kinds of chicken, lamb chop, minced lamb stick, some paneer stuffed tandoori mushrooms and garlic naan. yummy! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Catching up now...been eating out a bit too much, so made a couple of quick, simple, but very tasty dinners...first up was a chicken stir fry with some asian flavors. This passes for a healthy meal in my world... Image Unavailable, Please Login
This was something new and very good. A "pasta bake". Basically a roasting pan filled with some gnocchi, browned meatballs, tomato sauce, sofritto veggies softened in red wine in a pan, blanched kale, some dollops of mascarpone and topped with a bit of grated parmesan, then bake for 10 minutes. This was very good. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tonight Ania made a really yummy savory tart. First roasted some butternut squash and walnuts - seasoned with red pepper flake, pepper, salt, olive oil, lemon pepper, cumin and nutmeg and fresh rosemary (from the garden across the street from our London flat). Roll out some puff pastry (store bought for ease). Then joining the squash and walnuts were; goat cheese, fig jam and more rosemary. Baked for 25 minutes. This was outstanding with a glass of wine (or several). Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My wife would love that! I can’t show the love with butternut squash. I can do the wine! Edit: Same with sweet potatoes. Just can’t get into them unless they’re loaded up with other stuff and that defeats the purpose of eating them.
Strips tonight. Just slightly overdone. Covered with a five pepper spice I picked up out west. Pretty spicy! Plus potatoes and steamed yellow squash. All good! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Coarsely ground pepper on a good steak. Image Unavailable, Please Login Boquerones on toast. Mid-winter tapas. Served with taleggio cheese, and red wine...T
TSA was all over the pepper blend bottle coming back from a Rapid. They shook it, rolled it around, looked between the label. I just watched. If it really became a problem I was going to say open it, let’s see what it tastes like!
I'm gonna need pics! I told my wife, and she said "You're gonna waste good brisket in chili?" I think I have a little leftover brisket in the freezer. The wheels are turning! T
Wendy's used to be the place to get a good spicy chicken sandwich. I used to get those all the time way back in the day.
