Good looking grub AzIt! Pasta is one of my favorite ways to use leftovers - after pizza and fajitas! T
That's pretty handy. Our Kroger has pre-prepared food that's been cooked and then flash frozen. Then all you need to do is reheat. I tried it once, using an electric skillet to drive off the moisture. It was OK, but the salt content on their pre-prepared foods is crazy high! Two more min in the microwave. Added dried shiitake and then some chopped up chili peppers - cayenne, Calabrian, pepperoncini, shishito - whatever was ready in the garden. Some basil. It was OK, but next time I need to add a protein like shrimp or such. T
They make a few things fresh in their high end meat section. Kabob's, preformed burger patties, etc. I don't shop there often because their parking is a real pain in the butt.
chicken skin down for about 4 min on the stove top at med-high heat until the skin Is golden brown then into the oven at 475 degrees for 10 min still skin side down. The results are an extra crispy skin with tender meat. Make sure to use neutral oil with a high smoke point such as avocado oil, peanut oil, or grapeseed oil, otherwise you’re smoke alarm will be going off once you open the oven!

Looks like proper katsu. Nice looking knife too. I was lazy yesterday, grabbed a pack of jalapeno/jack cheese sausages. Threw them in the pan with some onion, mushrooms and peppers. I think one small pepper I thought was a little jalapeno was maybe a green habanero. It was kinda odd shaped. By the time things were going good in the pan it was like someone sprayed pepper spray in the kitchen. Ooops. I was actually coughing and having to blow my nose. It didn't end up tasting that hot though. Pretty good with a little cheese melted over. Had the leftovers tonight. The peppers were from my CSA/garden box two weeks ago, should have some fresh ones today as it's delivery day. I told him last year I like peppers so he's been loading me up the past couple boxes.
Couple days ago. Not the prettiest but sure was tasty, especially the leftovers. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Grilled boneless and skinless chicken thighs with dried lemon thyme that we kept from the summer herb garden and some zucchini. I have no idea how, but the outside turned out gently crispy as if it had skin and the inside was nice and juicy. Yummy. Image Unavailable, Please Login

So, took them to a place with outside seating. I ordered fish and chips, because our best friends are pescatarians, and when they visit, they like to eat out. Don't think we'll be taking them here. Bell pepper from our garden. Top sirloin from Costco, cut into strips appropriate for stir fry. Image Unavailable, Please Login Glad I didn't get regular. This was not what I would call extra spicy. Very good flavor though. Happily a couple of cayenne peppers from the garden did the trick on the heat front. T
Yeah I haven't had any gojuchang that was very spicy. At Dad's today, he wanted veal cutlets and I made meatballs and sauce. The "aftermath"..... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
