Incline is really nice. For Max, I'd probably pick Truckee for a central base for skiing..near Northstar, Squaw, Boreal, etc. Cheers!
I only ski maybe once per year now. Didn't this year or the last two years. Summers are nice there, but I like Vancouver in the summer more. For winter I'm thinking either Vegas (for the food) or Scottsdale (for weather)............................ Think its a light sushi order with some rolls for dinner.
Scottsdale does have some fine places to eat. But I haven't been there since 02. Parents sold their house there............. Japanese was good. But experienced some Shrinkflation on my sushi order: used to be three salmon pieces and two tuna pieces. Now its only one piece each and the price went up a $2. Less filling. But I ordered lots of rolls. California, Dynamite, spicy chopped scallop rolls and a chopped scallop cone. They also add a 10% tip onto online orders. Defeats the 10% off on online orders! Tonight is Chinese take out. Dinner for one at a new place I found. Its $15 for three menu items.

I don't think you can get an empty lot in Incline for that much any more! It was fun. We're in the high desert of Oregon now. Bend. Image Unavailable, Please Login The Lava Butte burger at Bend Burger Co. Zingy more than spicy. Good though. T
It is pricey there. In recession when they sold. But did an exchange and bought a bigger better house near Scottsdale for the same money.
Piccata, broccoli and penne. And the customary but invisible salad. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat

Guess I missed your trip comments and obviously you’re on a western tour. Were to next? Is it in another thread? I’d love to hit the road and explore.

Just a simple pre-made salad from Safeway last night. Trying to stay on a diet. Get back to 160lbs. Have 20lbs to go.
Haven't had sushi in a restaurant in a while so friend had me meet her there to catch up last night... Image Unavailable, Please Login
We toyed with driving to Alaska, but the distance, dearth of hotels along the way, and need to be in Seattle on a specific date made us revise to a road trip ending in Seattle & then cruise from there to Alaska. So far we've been gamboling around the country like drunken sailors! Stopped off in Vegas to pick up an extra spare tire for the Cayenne (off-roading trip in Fall with PCA and wanted an extra). From there to Lake Tahoe, then Bend, Oregon. Drove to Idaho because the wife wanted to add it to her tally of states visited (49/50, only Maine remains!). We're now near Mt Hood, Oregon. Thinking, Williamette Valley next to hit some wineries. This is our first long road trip since the pandemic. It's been fun to get back on the road and see new places. Only major PITA has been the Cayenne decided it needed its oil changed about 300 miles down the road in Amarillo! Fortunately, the Porsche dealer in Bend was able to fit us in. The plan is to head back there next week & do the 60 K intermediate service...T
Sound like a blast. Nothing beats hopping in the car and hitting the road. We love our cross country trips, just wish we had more time to stop at places along the way.
Yeah. Road trips are a blast. Love driving new roads. We're trying to stop and smell the roses on this tour since we have a little time to kill. skiied on mount Hood when I was a kid. Nice place...looks cold for June yesh....was 104 the other day here in the valley
Yeah. It's a drastic change. It's been not only hot back home in Texas, but also high humidity. We're limiting the # of pics we send to our friends back home, don't want to make them too jealous! Starting to get a hankering for sushi after 2+ years. Hope the cruise ship has a good sushi/Asian option. I'm excited that it claims to have a dedicated Indian restaurant. Never seen that on a cruise ship...T
