Yummy! Max, if you like your horseradish hout, try this stuff. Image Unavailable, Please Login Company is up in Oregon, so you should be able to find it. It's the first prepared horseradish that we've found that we need to dilute with sour cream, mayo, etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login Pickled the last crop of (green) tomatoes and mariachi peppers. Good topping for these veggie brats, which were OK-ish. Not going to make me go herbivore any time soon. Air fryer is a good way to heat up these veggie "meats." Pulls some of the extra moisture out of them, improves the texture. Image Unavailable, Please Login Back to real meat. Had leftover browned ground beef and leftover tomato sauce, so I made us a pizza. Image Unavailable, Please Login T
I usually buy Beaver; it seems to be the main one in stores here. They only sell raw horseradish in Canada. At least I haven't found it creamy here. I stock up when in the states.
F-chat food forum and @Raconteur for the win! thanks so much for clueing us into Bertha Miranda. We are at my sisters in Sparks for Turkey day and I made a point to give it a try after your post…and… Awesome! I had carnitas and wife had chicken mole. And a side of plus level guacamole. Best tortillas I’ve had too. Will go again. Highly recommended, not your suburban generic Mexican. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
@arizonaitalian Glad you enjoyed Bertha Miranda. They do have very good food. And I bet each plate was between $14 and $18 bucks! Talk about a bargain! Now I want Mexican food for dinner tonight
More from Reno. Win some, lose some... Went to an Indian Buffet place...it was mediocre at best (small selection, meh flavors): Image Unavailable, Please Login
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Taking a nap soon. Dinner with my adopted family in Port Ludlow, WA (Olympic Peninsula). Love this area. Photo doesn’t do the mountains justice. Sunny day in the region. Tough to photog while driving… cheese and charcuterie starter plate and a Rose of Pinot Noir. We ended up postponing our Thanksgiving until Saturday as my Dad has the flu. Then today is GF wasn't feeling well so they ended up at the ER for her, she has an ear infection. When it rains I suppose.... So I grabbed a turkey breast the other day at the store since leftover turkey sammiches are my absolute favorite part of Thanksgiving. Cooked it up today in the oven with just traditional spices. Didn't get any fancy sides to make, will have all those Saturday when we do dinner together. Instead I made some riced cauliflower and added some turkey juice and cheese and shot of cream. Probably the best riced cauliflower ever. And later I'll have a turkey sammich. Yumm. We'll have fried turkey and all the normal fixins Saturday. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

I have not found an Indian buffet I liked. If they won't prepare it fresh for me, I find another place
likely a good philosophy! Yet, like most things, there are exceptions...we were fortunate to have had one in Scottsdale for years that was in the discussion for the best indian food we have had outside of London. Alas, covid killed it. Iirc Amber India near SF (the original one, when they only had one) had a buffet and was up their usual fantastic standard (back when they were undisputedly the best Indian in the bay area).
Thanksgiving shopping at our smaller grocery store with the butcher that cuts my thick chops had this on display. We went traditional with a nice organic turkey but this looked fantastic. Could have had Yorkshire puddings too! Maybe at Christmas. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tardy Thanksgiving at Dad's today. Fried turkey and all the fixings. Came out good. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
