From what I have seen no one has posted any videos here. I dont know if any members posting here have ever been to Australia. Our food is built up from many nationalities and is really diverse. I noticed that Mark Weins posted a video the other day and though maybe members here would like to see my city , my town Melbourne and more importantly one of the markets i frequent nearly every week. Also you can see some of our landscape in the city. There is also a take on a bohemian suburb and is a bit wanky i.e FITZROY and also an introduction to some Aboriginal delights and bush tucker Please note there are 100's of other places to go and different nationalities but obviously Mark cannot see all of them. I hope you enjoy it

Ha! Wife and kids had McDonalds today whereas I had a nice meal on the company dime while a client is in town. Ricotta ravioli, almond wood grilled akaushi ribeye, and chocolate soufflé. I bought a half steer of Akaushi 2 years ago...still eating it. Wonderful beef. Where are you finding that meat? Calif? Texas?
I like a big mac every once in a while. It is a nostalgic meal. Fried chicken and macaroni salad last night. Might go out for prime rib tonight or get sushi again.

Well I was so far behind on this thread that I only went back 2 weeks to catch up. Some really great beef dishes! Yesterday was uncharacteristically cold here (it didn't get out of the 50's and cloudy and drizzly). So it was a good day to stay in. I made sauce (with hot sausage added) and pasta (on the board in the background) while my wife made the meatballs. We opened a bottle of wine we brought back from Italy last October. And back on May 24th, armedferret posted a pic of a Negroni. It reminded me of a Negroni my wife had at a roof top bar at our hotel in Turin, my Manhattan is on the left. They were two of the most attractive drinks we've ever been served. The next day there was a different bartender with his own way of making a Negroni. The funny thing about my drink is the glass sat in a small bowl of ice water, so when I lifted the drink I had to be careful not to drip water on myself! Mexican last night because I'm at our States property and the population of the town is nearly 50% Mexican. Makes for great Mexican restaurants. Steak fajita. I wanted to try a new BBQ place. It is the location of a BBQ place that closed last year. Guess new people took it over and changed the name. But it wasn't open on a Monday at 5pm. No hours on the door. Might call them at around 5pm today and see if they are still open. If yes, it is BBQ tonight.
Sunday at Dad's. Costco prime filets, they have been so good lately. Also salad with lettuce out of my garden. Image Unavailable, Please Login Saturday I did turkey burgers and hot links on the grill at home. Image Unavailable, Please Login Today for some reason I decided to make lasagna. One of the hottest days of the year and I'm making lasagna. Goofball. Made it with low carb dough noodles, looks ok. Letting it rest for a bit to see how it tastes. Image Unavailable, Please Login
