I read somewhere that the Cambiocorsa management software was going to be updated. Is that correct? I have a friend with a new SMG BMW M3. The car was originally barely drivable in stop-and-go traffic, and now, thanks to software updates, can act like a smooth automatic, or a razor-sharp paddle-shifted razor. I love that Jeckyl-and-Hyde split personality. I'm hoping that "Go Fast 3.0" will fix some of 2.0's problems. Will it? If so, when is it available, and how backwards compatible is it? Thanks in advance, Matt
Are you speaking of a 2nd update? There's already been one update and my 2002 didn't have the update and shifted much harder and quicker then cars that had the update done. One of my customers who had an 02 with the update done when he bought it begged his dealer to convert it back after driving mine. For some odd reason they won't.
Hi, Kevin. Thank you very much for your response. I think I'm asking about a third update, which would explain the name "Go Fast 3.0". But I'm not sure if this is an official designation, an internal code, or what. I also don't know if there's a difference between the Quattroporte and the Coupe/Spyder. Their gearboxes are named differently, but that doesn't necessarily mean much. I assume that the update I'm talking about isn't available yet...
I see, sorry for the confusion haven't heard anything about another update yet. I will make some phonecalls on Tuesday and see if I can get any information for you. Regards, Kevin
Maserati N.A. and Maserati Central Florida both say there are currently no official plans about a 3rd version. Only the initial version and the update.
Thank you again, Kevin. I wish I knew where I had read about a third update... I appreciate your help.
