    Disconnect from the Internet.

Have a friend install adaware/spybot search&destroy/crapcleaner/some kind of anti virus program.

btw, hqseek is some kind of porn website.

Don't forget SP 2 if you haven't already. It helps immensely.

LIKE NOW! Don't try the recs below while still connected.

try that. If its a bad one you'll have to wipe the HD and re-install Windows, backing up vitals first. Its an unfortunate Internet way of life but you have to be proactive and REGULARLY update everything and scan daily to remove these damn things. Also be sure you have a firewall and some of the ad/spyware blockers to stop them before they get to your PC. Also, did you click on an anon email by chance?
I like and use and since installing, have NOT had problems-
    TrendMicro
    Ad-Aware
    SpyBlocker
    Spybot
Of course, if you're a techie you could avoid the Windows security hassles and go with UNIX, LINUX, etc...
    Good luck!

You get this when you look at too much porn on your computer.

Not for me--OS X, baby! Never going back to Windows.

    Good luck, by the way.

that had nothing to do with spybot or norton. Still sounds like you got hacked. I'd back up and reinstall.

Change your passwords too. If it were me, I'd do so from another machine.

Once you're compromised, the only way to know you're OK is to flatten the machine and reinstall everything from scratch. I hope you have good backups of your data before the compromise.

    Sadly, I agree.

Do you have any kind of hardware or software firewall as a first layer of defense?
