Really- what is in the luggage compartment on the engine bonnet
the mounts to the inside wall facing the motor. Something has been removed
from my 328....appears to have had a hole that went thru to the engine
    bay.

Thought I saw something in the Ricambi schematics, but it was for a right
    hand drive car.

CD changer? Or maybe an in car fire suppressor system (probably not but that would be cool).

Early 328's had a rubber strap on the rear panel over near the right tail light to hold the jack and tool kit. All have a compartment under the floor on both sides. Left for the ignition box and right for the Jetronic box. Nothing else but the antenna motor belongs in the trunk.
