I’m just getting some facts here… What scale do you guys prefer when it comes to collecting die cast Ferraris and does a certain color(s) is preferred in your collections? I have almost 50 road and F1 Ferraris and they are all red in color. If it’s not red, I don’t buy it. And what is the most “Rare” Ferrari model you have in your collection? Does anyone know for a fact what is considered “a holy grill” which is referred as the rarest – hard- to find Ferrari which is made in a very few production numbers. I use to have a very extensive 1960’s 12” GI JOE toy collection which at one time I had over 120 Joes with every accessory you could think of and yes; I had some of the rarest Joes in my collection, that only a very few other collector had as well. It was my favorite toy as a kid growing up… What could I say “I like my toys”… What could I say “I like my toys”… If you can provide pictures of your rarest Ferrari, we would be grateful.

I collect 1:18 models mostly. I avoid red like the plague, but if I see one I want and it's only available in red..well I guess I'm beat. The most rare(if you can call it that) Ferrari in my collection is the UT 550. I also have a Giltoy 250GTO but I have know idea if it's rare or not.

The Guiloy Ferraris are razonable rare. I'm in Europe, and i buy one of them 2 years ago. But Guiloy Ferraris are no more in production, because only Mattel make them (in 1/18). With the time, i think these Ferraris will be very rare. So, them have big potential. But, it's my opinion! Today, a brand new Guiloy 1/18 Ferrari, will value about 30€/40€ in the original box.

Well, the color is depend the model of the Ferrari. But in most cases, i prefer red one's. I collect Ferraris in all scales, but i prefer 1/18. Only have other scales, the models i don't can get in 1/18. I don't have a very rare Ferrari, but the most rares i have (in 1/18) was:

Ferrari Daytona GTS 1/18 by Majorette (Red)
Ferrari Daytona GTB/4 1/18 by Giodi (Red)
Ferrari 250 GT Berlinnette 1961 by Universal Hobbies (Blue)
Ferrari 346 Spider 1/18 by Mira
Ferrari 355 GTB by 1/18 Maisto (Yellow)
Ferrari Dino 1/18 by Anson (Red)
Ferrari 328 1/18 by Anson (Black)
Ferrari Dino Tour de France 1/18 by Anson (White)
Ferrari 348 Evoluzione 1/18 by Bburago (Red)
    Ferrari 330 P4 by Joef 1/18 (Red)
Ferrari 250 GTO 1/18 by Guiloy (Blue)
Ferrari 312 P Racing with fuell pump by Maisto 1/18 (Red)
Ferrari 333 Sp by Hotwhells 1/18 (Red)
Pinifarina Mythos by Revell 1/18 (Yellow)

Maybe one's i missing... i have much more!

I have mostly 1:18 but am getting into 1:32 (slots) in a big way. Colorwise most of them are reds but I do have a couple of blacks and yellows

All of my Ferraris are 1:18... Most are opened, out of the box, and on display. I started out on a "yellow kick", but I started to realize that it was going to look ridiculous if I kept it up, and not all models were available in yellow, so it's a pretty well-mixed collection now.

I don't have anything *too* rare - a couple unopened "black box" HW models - a 250 GTO, and a 288 GTO. I would have to guess that the most rare model in my collection is my Exoto 641/2 (N. Mansell) car with the Goodyear Eagle spelled "Eagel" on all 4 tires. I've been told that this was an error during production of the first few cars, and it was eventually corrected. I suppose that makes it "rare", but nothing to really write home about.

I have lots of 1:18 cars and tons of the little 1:24s. Lets see for the 1:18 i have a few Lamborghinis, 1Pantera, Ferrari F50, GT90, Viper GTS, V12 Vanquish, and a TVR Speed12. I even have a 1:18 F117 stealth fighter!.

as for the 1:24 i have 3 Corvettes, few muscle cars, a lamborghini/Ferrari, SkylineTFTF, JagXJ220. theres a few more but theres to many. I have couple of jets including a F16, F15 active, custom YF23. I also did a few custom jets one is a vertech from Macross Plus, Vic Viper(gradius), F22, SU34, extc. I love building models so the list will expand quickly.

BTW does anyone know what is the best 1:18Ferrari Enzo model? I really want to add that car to my callection.

I prefer 1:43. About 90% in my collection is 1:43. I have them in red, yellow or silver. I like to have all my GT- and sportscarracers in red. The modern cars (from Dino upwards) in yellow and the vintage cars in silver. Doesn´t always work out though. I have a red 250 GTE and a burgundy 250 Lusso and a yellow and silver Daytona Berlinetta just because I couldn´t choose.

I don´t know whether or not I have rarities in my collection. If there are, then it must be these:

512S, concept, 1970 by AMR (yellow)
    250GT by AMR (red)
348 Berlinetta Evoluzione Zagato by Replicars (yellow)
    Mondial 8 by SmallWheels (red)
328 GTS "Koenig" by Western (red)

For now, there´s only the HotWheels-version, which is none more than acceptable. Wait a little, and you can get the 1:18 BBR, which probably will be very BBR-worthy, in other words: stunning.

Hello everyone. Guiloy's are indeed rare and great quality. I just received a shipment of rare, discontinued Ferrari Giloy's. I have a bunch of GTO in red and verde, 2 mythos, one F40 in red and a few in Silver! A few 288 GTO's. 3 1:20 F40's.

Giloy makes a great Mclaren too. I have 3 LM's one of which found a nice parking spot in my private collection (Sigh - that always happens)

If interested just email me. I will have them all on eBay. If you search Guiloy Ferrari.....I think im the only one ;)

    Cheers,

    Vasco

Would you consider the 1:18 BBR Enzo 'rare?'

Wow, thanks for sharing. I don't have nearly that many. I have dozens of 1:18 and only about 17 Ferrari's. I also sell alot of models out of my dealership, makes my showroom look cool having the toys next to cars.

Once again thanks for sharing, pics would be great of the modified ones..

I've got a collection of cca 100 Ferraris, all scales included. Most rare, I think, are 550 Prodrive Le Mans 2003 (Red Line 1:43, 843rd from 1000 pieces), Pininfarina Mythos (Revell 1:43) etc. And I have also some my rebuilted cars there - see the picture attached, it's 550 GRT-R built from Bburago 1:43... You can find my collection on my Czech site http://maranello.sf.cz - section Maranello Collections (Karel Gallina is my name). If anybody wants, he's most welcome there with his collection's list and photos! Bye.
