    Amazingly enough… the average American has nine credit cards and has a 705 credit score. I would have though very different. If you maintain a 20% balance on your credit cards you are in the sweet spot.

    I heard about a guy who had a perfect 850 score. He had one credit card with a $100,000 limit and a balance of $55.00. And he had the card for 15 years. And it's not just a tale, it's true.

    My ATM/Debit/Mastercard and my green AMEX are the only plastic (besides various IDs for my company and the NYSE) in my wallet.

    On this topic, how many of you keep money in your wallet. I don't think I've actually had cash physically in my wallet in about 10 years. I carry all cash in my pockets. Anyone else?

    I'm far too OCD to keep loose bills in my pocket... They all have to go in my wallet, all facing the same direction, all from biggest to smallest, with all the corners flatened out (no messy folded corners)...

    My wallet is the only thing in my pocket right now... But inside my wallet is what's interesting... A piece of paper with VINs of stolen Ferraris, another piece of paper with VINs of all the Ferraris I've ever driven, my bank card, my room key, a spare key, my license, pending dry cleaning tickets, various notes, my SSN card - and, of course, my neatly organized cash... :)

    That is a big mistake. You know your SS# by heart, it is not a valid form of id and carrying it puts you are great risk of identity theft. I'd be shocked if you have had to show your SS card more than three times in your entire life. Put in a safe, perhaps a safety deposit box at the bank.
