How do you stack your wallet?

  1. Hell yeah; stacked, oriented & in ascending order!

  2. Not always oriented, but ascending order & reasonably organized

  3. Total chaos, bills all over the place in no order

  4. I don't carry cash OR my wallet is stolen OR my wife doesn't let me carry cash

I'm not OCD about it, but I do take a moment and organise the bills now and then. Thousands stay in the back pocket: once I break one the remains go in the front pocket. Here's a pic of all but the 500 and the 50, don't happen to have those on hand. Note the falcon motif on every bill...

My cash ALWAYS stays in my front right pocket all right side up facing the same way folded with small bills facing out.

At least no one has said that they iron their bills to make them look fresh and crisp!

Only thing I carry in my wallet is my DL, one debit card, one credit card, and $40.00 cash....I hate carrying ones, in combination with my shield, they make the wallet too damn thick. My money is usually face forward ranging from highest to lowest.

My wallet has a divider in the money part of it. This means, the back part, I put large bills ($20+). In front of the divider, I put smaller bills. Larger bills in back, smaller bills in front.

I hate not carrying any money on me, but I hate carrying anything over $120.

And FWIW, I use a bi-fold because they are thinner. I can't stand a tri-fold, as it is my wallet is thick enough with all the different cards and bills in it. My hip and back start to hurt if I sit on my wallet for too long.

Total chaos here in the cash part of my wallet, couldn’t even guess how much was there, tbh don’t care, but my cards are organised, kinda. Why waste my time sorting it when I could be doing more productive things. :D And if there’s a relationship between organisation (in general) and success I reckon it’s inverse, as some of the most successful people I know can barely remember which country they’ve got property in, let alone what’s in their wallet. However, these people rarely miss a beat on matters with positive financial expectancy. Messiness is not a sign of a lazy mind, mostly a too busy one, imo. :D

As for OCD, well, as a sufferer for many years I would say that most types of this disorder are a massive hindrance to any productivity, but can teach your mind to think in obsessive detail about things.

Dude, out there in the real world, $55K a year is considered successful. That's not exactly $5.15 an hour

Organized yes, borderline OCD, um, nope.

that you have cash on you at all is a sign that you're not that successful yet, my man carries all my cash and credit cards, I simply sit in the back of the Rolls and tel him where I need to be next. :D

I also find that most successful people respect others, especially their own family members.

I asked a guy once if a disorganized desk was the sign of disorganized mind, then what did an empty desk signify?

I hope this thread is some kind of silly joke.

Jeez, what next? What's in your glove compartment, and is it all in alphabetical order?

This is almost exactly what I do. I gave up on wallets as being too thick and causing backpain. Splitting the two means I can put one in each pocket and it's (usually) slim. I figure that if I'm buying something with cash, I never need to show my ID, while if I'm buying with a credit card, the ID is in the same holder as the credit card. Also, I figure if I ever get mugged (which hasn't happened so far) I have a chance they'll be happy if I just give them the money clip and not lose cards and ID at the same time.

I always sort my money (inner high denomination, outer low denomination, in order) before it goes in the money clip, but I gave up on orientation (which I used to do) as a waste of time. Sorting is useful because I can peel off low denomination bills without showing how many high denominations I have and it's also harder to accidentally give a $20 away in a stack of $1's.

Lol, I didn't vote, I am an extremely poor individual, but I always keep my bills organized in ascending order (when I have cash on me.)

I never keep cash on me, I only use my pin/signature protected debit card. Ah, the joy of no change jingling, and the security of digital receipts for all purchases.

I wonder if the bank keeps my money stored properly.

i hope you don't mind, i'm not uber wealthy, can't afford a brand new ferrari, but for my age group i consider myself wealthy. i try to generally keep at least 50 bucks in my wallet at all time, with big bills in back, small ones in front. my wallet has two areas in the main part, one i keep my cash in, the other all of my receipts. i try to keep everything organized and take all the receipts out at the end of the week when i do my bills.

The only reason for carrying cash is for tipping. So some ones, fives, and tens should do the trick. I think really successful people have no need for cash. I wonder if the Dali Lama, or the Pope carries cash? Do they actually have to pay for anything?

The only reason I can see for carrying cash anymore is for parking lots/valets.. so to not really answer the question, my cash is usually crammed into some nook in my dash (and in no particular order). :D

Success -by-wallet is also pretty hard to define as I'm pretty sure that most billionaires really don't have a 'dollar to spare'. Being OCD is usually about the smaller picture, not the large ones. ;)

Ever go to a place that only accepts cash? Getting lunch from a sandwich shop or something. Or places that require a $10 minimum to use cards when all you want is a $1.50 drink?

I use cash at restaurants sometimes if I am too impatient to wait for them to bring back the CC and have me sign it. I'll just throw some cash in there and leave.

But for the most part, unless you're in some kind of "special" business, cash seems to be going the way of the dinosaur.

I stuff 50s and 100s in an old cow leather wallet so the sides dont split.
Anything less gets jammed in my front left pocket. I dont take change just put it in the charity box.
Cant wait till I "make it" so that I have time to get more organised. ;)

Well, one billionaire only had $43.00. His wife had $23.00, and he had $20.00. I guess he wasn't too liquid! :D

My Dad taught me this when I was young. Always have small bills facing out, so no one can see what you have. I don't carry a true wallet, but a money clip with 2 places for cards, license, etc. The clip goes in my right front pocket. My cash is always sorted...reciepts from dinner go in my clip, then when I get home...they come out and filed.
