How the HELL do you price a car? 1989 328 aussie delivered...full history.....48000km. good nick, but no tool kit. i have to make an offer.....but how much? phil....STFU....it's worth what someone will pay is stupid, ok?
80-90k but it has the wrong wheels they are listed for anywhere from 85-110k why are you buying it ??
It's worth whatever it sells for... not a cent more or less. Whoever has the biggest smile, got the better deal... seller or buyer? What colour?, trim?, leather roof lining and shelf option? Convex wheels in 1989... but is it one that slipped thorugh with ABS or not? RECENT history?(tyres, clutch, belts, brakes, AC dryer, other repairs?? etc etc)
red/tan no leather options thingy. dunno if it's got ABS...didn't take any notice, but i'd be surprised. new tyres. service with belts due in a few months. obviously it'll be subject to a PPI...but WHAT price subject to a PPI..that's the tricky bit.
I can tell you already that it DOESN'T have ABS. Only car that slipped thru is the black one currently for sale. It got crunched at Eastern Creek many years ago too.
Tell that to the guy asking 115k on carpoint. How does one offer 30k less than what the seller is asking?
Asking price is meaningless... when will people understand this.... Any explanations about the 1 car with ABS..... Was it a "mistake", a sneaky order, a UK/HK/Jap Import.... ?? Offer whatever you'd be happy paying, assuming it's all ok...... before you know everything about it, then adjust your offer for PPI results and history/finance adjustments. Why not save 20-30K and get a 308QV? Or tip in another 20-30K and get a Trossa/348? Or even a 360C.... http://www.maranellomotorsport.com.au/displayCar.asp?c=1
nah...328 it is. bullet proof, cheap (relatively) to maintain, almost as good looking as a 308...last of series...etc etc whatever i'm happy paying...well that's the trouble...if it was woth 120k, i'd be happy to pay 120k...if it was worth 90k, i'd be happy to pay that....etc etc...but if it's worth 95, i wouldn't want to pay 99, for example
If you think the purchase price will be all the car "owes" you and all it is worth.... you'll have learned nothing from all your years owning Ferraris'.
Mistake. The ABS wasn't ADR'd for Australia (as I understand it). The car turned up and it had ABS for reasons unknown. Not like they were going to send it back was it. Just one of those things. Just like my Aussie delivered 355Challenge wears a "normal" 355 compliance plate and all others have 355 Challenge on their plates. Knowing the people involved at the time I can guess how that happened. Unrelated story: When unleaded first came into Australia, the Lambo dealers solution was to simply put a "unleaded fuel only" sticker on the fuel cap- no Cats fitted......
Hmmm.. There's a registered and complied UK spec 328 on the road in Vic now... with similar story. The ABS is a strange one for sure... Don't see many mistakes like that.... Were there any other differences with that car? Emissions gear etc? Euro Engine spec?
Miles Sandy has it for sale. It looks great. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
