Thanks to so many of you who frequent ferrarichat.com for also supporting ICF Weekend. Wanting to make our extravanganza THE place to be in Sept., we are offering some new elements for our entrants and visitors. Please consider participating in them:

New: Lunch on the Water - Optional activity for entrants and a great way to enjoy a relaxing lunch aboard our hospitality boat. The lunch, catered by Carrabba's Italian Grill, will sell-out, so enter early.

New: Track Day Venue - www.eaglescanyon.com

New: Easy Check-In - On Friday, Sept. 21 entrants may drop off vehicles and pick up their registration packets. We will place your car on the field in its Saturday location and you won't have to worry about the Saturday morning rush - just show up Saturday morning. Note: We will have armed security on site from Friday afternoon through the end of the show.

New: Easy Registration - With our online store, you can register online and pay with a credit card or PayPal account.

Best Spider Challenge - A never-been-done-before competition to select the best 124-based spider from entries selected by the four largest North American FIAT clubs. This project will also serve as a template for future challenges.

ICF 5th Anniversary - This is our fifth show! We will be doing a few things throughout the weekend to highlight our anniversary. We also have cotton T's available with the unique 5th Anniversary logo.

Charitable Contributions - We will be charging admission which will allow us to make an even larger donation to this year's designated charity, the national Make-A-Wish Foundation.

I hope the new admission fee will be nominal, part of what makes the show great is that it's open to the public and no charge.

Any reports of the lake level? With all this summer rain we're having & hate to see the park closed.

The admission fee will be $10, with children 12 and under free with an adult. This will help with expenses for the show, but the real goal is to write a big check to our primary charity, the Make-A-Wish foundation.

The lake is very high, but we are told that once the upstream lakes have dropped some more they will begin to drain Grapevine Lake. We will work with the city to use Oak Grove Park, but will have a plan B just in case!

Miss Texas will be present at Friday's ICF Reception to welcome the all ICF entrants. This is especially gratifying as we expect many from out-of-state.

    Please consider joining the fun.

I'll notify the SMU (Southern Methodist University) Car Club members about the event. Should be able to raise a lot of money if I let the 40+ members know about the event! :)

I can't wait to see the Miura again. It was one of my dreams to see and sit in a Miura, and thanks to Lamborghini Dallas's Superleggera event, my dream came true. :)

I hope that really tricked out Cadillac shows up again, that thing was nuts.

All of the park roads around the site are now open! Last year's site is still mostly under water, but the show will be immediately west of last year's location - at Trawick pavilion.

Another feature for entrants and visitors this year will be the Wine Pavilion. Located under a tent on the show field, you can sample the best from Grapevine's wineries. Or purchase a glass of wine to enjoy as you sit and look out over the show cars.

Are there going to be signs guiding us to the new location? I'm 'slightly' familiar with where all the (2 or 3) Dove Rds converge into one confusing area, but I'm not sure where the Trawick Pavilion is...
(btw, if you know who does the website, it still says the meeting location is Oak Grove Park).

That entire area of the lake/parks is Oak Grove Park. The old site was at the Minnow Loop area. We are now just a couple of hundred yards to the west at the Trawick Pavilion area.

There should be plenty of signs on various Grapevine streets - particulary Dove Rd and Dove Loop.
