What's in the pipeline for Ferrari at the moment ?

    430 replacement ?
    575 replacement ?
    Enzo replacement ?

Can anyone further comment on exactly what will be the next Ferraris out, in a time line type order ?

The next 12-cylinder, 2-seater from Ferrari will be the 600 Imola,
to be unveiled later this year, maybe at the Detroit Auto Show
in January. It will be the 575M's successor.

SO the 600 will be the next car that's unveiled ?

then will it be a super car or the next 8 cycl ?

Do you think they are working on a whole new design for the next 8 ?
    (i.e. 355 to 360 jump)

or will it be a M version of the 430 ?

By mid 03 I was talking to FoW about the 360 replacement and they told me the 430 would be a touch up kind of thing of the 360 with a bigger motor and an all new replacement was to be out by 08.

    Cheers

I would think a CS version of the 430 before a 430 replacement. If you are one to believe rumors, there is allegedly a new entry level model based on the adandoned Maserati Spider, but I'm not convinced until I see more evidence.

I doubt there will be an Enzo replacement till around 2010 or so.

the 430 is quite a touch up...85 more hp, stiffer chassis, better suspension and handling, better , state of the art electronics.....if that is a touch up , then i cant wait for the new model....but i believe that the 430 is slated for a 5 year run, esp with the car back ordered 3-4 years already ....they have problably already started work on the replacement....i would quess it would be a 2010...

Lets hope F is smart enough to launch a convertible Imola this time & not make us wait for a silly Barchetta.

So let me get this straight. If the 575 replacement is going to be the 600 Imola, it will be side by side with the 612 Scaglietti. What will be the difference between them? Just the 2 extra seats? Or is there more to it?

So what are they going to name the next supercar that surpasses the Enzo?

I thought it was a mistake to name it after him. Perhaps start naming them after great drivers, such as Larini, Lauda, Scheckter, Villeneuve, Alboretto, and MS?

According to R&T Sept 2004 (Please feel free to correct this, if there's been any better information come out since)
-It will use the same platform, but will be shorter
-Output will be 580-600bhp compared to Scag's 532bhp

The V-12 is moving to the back of the car. So long to what Mr. Ferrari liked.

    Happy Trails to me
    I have a 550.

The greatest Ferrari drivers were ( I think) Ascari, Fangio (1 season), Phil Hill, Andretti, Lauda, Schekter, Villeneuve, MS. I'm sure I missed a few

The 288 GTO, F40 & F50 dont have names, well, official names

I call my F40 the Starship because the acceleration makes you feel like you are entering warp speed :)

I want a 21st C 12 cyl TR make sure there is a convertible version from the start. That would give the Murcielago Spyder a nice run

I'd love to see a new redesigned 308 style car small, lightweight, and FAST, and agree a new open top TR style !

John, I'm with you on that! Maybe if they used an aluminum chassis (ala 360/430), and dropped in the Maser engine.... yeah, it would be really FAST!

BTW, did your 308 make it's way up here to Long Island? If so, I'll have to keep my eyes out for it.
