I got to thinking lately about things that I seem to never get around to doing, but that I want to do. I'm sure everyone has a "I want to do this" list that's unrelated to their normal business and family lives.

For me, in no particular order

    1) Go skydiving
    2) Learn to fly
    3) Visit Australia
    4) Fly in space (probably post-death, ashes to the stars kinda thing)
    5) Learn how to ski
    6) Drive a F1 car (any era)

    What's on yours?

mine's fairly short....find a nice, isolated cabin, with some elbow room in the woods, by a river or creek, in the mountains, by the ocean, SOMEWHERE where there aren't any damned people.....

I've already done most of it ;)

    Still left:
BASE jumping - going to Twin Falls, Idaho for a first jump course in about a month

Drive an F1 car - most places require you to be 25+. Will have to wait a little over a year.

Get my pilots license - might start this fall

Get my skydiving coach rating - soon

Go to space - Maybe when I'm 40 or so? ;)

You mean you actually don't want to be one of those guys that ends up marrying the only girl that will have them, and then those same guys get on their soapbox like they're much more intelligent and worldly just because they're married and their friends are not? Amazing how they stop their "mightier than thou" attitude when their white trash wife files for divorce and takes them to the cleaners. Or runs off with the mail man. Or gains 100 pounds and prowls the used circus tent market searching for dress making material. Or their mother-in-law moves in permanently.

And number 15 needs to be addressed before number 2, otherwise, there will be no money left for number 2.

Looks like a lot of you want to skydive. There are reputable dropzones all over the world. Tandems usually run around $150-200, so it's not incredibly expensive, either.

Yes, but there are other things I want to do first. If I skydive and it doesn't work out, my list is screwed.

Chances of something happening are very, very, very slim. Most skydiving injuries and fatalities are experienced jumpers who push their limits too far or do something stupid, not tandems.

I notice you ride a motorcycle? What if your next ride doesn't work out? Chances of that are a lot higher.
