1961 Rolex, though it hasn't been running well and I've tired of having it serviced. Have to dig out my old Dirty Time Company Spiro Agnew watch - hope I still have it.

Ricky great watches. I love those breitlings... That panerai is sick my dad was going to buy one but he couldn't find one with a white face. It turns out they make like 1/10 in a white face and the other 9 black face the guy was telling him. There was a huge wait for a white one so he ended up getting an IWC portuguese(sp). How do you like the panerai? I heard the case gets scratched easily, but can be buffed right out.

I owned a Blancpain 2185 Chrono, a Blancpain 2100 (100 hour reserve with a double barrel), a Blancpain Flyback (my favorite watch), and an Audemars Piquet ultra thin dress watch with their inhouse 2003 movement. Unfortunately, I sold them to pay for the Ferrari. the average cost to service each watch every 3-5 years was over $1,000.00. Needless to say, the Ferrari has been cheaper to service so far. After I graduate law school I will probably buy another Blancpain Flyback. I just love that watch, and the movement is the best of any chrono regardless of price. Below are pics of my watches along with a very detailed and excellent review I did of the Blancpain 2185 Chrono. Enjoy.

I just sold my Blancpain Flyback. It was a nice watch but too big for my wrist (38mm is 2mm too big).

Darth nice variety everything from rolex to panerai to breitling. What is the 2nd watch in from the left I can't make it out from the picture? This is a question to everyone with more then one watch how many of you have the self winding case things to keep your watch from going dead when you don't wear them. I wear mine all the time so this doesn't matter, but my mom and dad use them for all their watches. Could any damage happen if you just let your watch sit for a month or so without wearing it?

I, personally, think winders are excessive for watches that are not very complicated. It is rather trivial to set a single date Rolex with quickset; however, I would use a winder for any complicated watch such as perpetual calendars, etc. It does take a while to set these watches, so, it would be nice to have them wound all the time. Most of my automatics sit in the box when not in-use and I have not noticed any adverse effects. I also have a few self-wind mechanicals (JLC Reverso Duo), and I don't see a difference in letting that one sit versus letting my Rolex Datejust sit.

Tag Heuer, titanium case, white face, leather band. Never liked the look or feel of bracelets. Great watch, very accurate, had it since '97 and just replaced the battery and strap.

Oooh, I like that case. Although, I already have problems deciding which watch to wear with three, I wouldn't know what to do with twelve!

    Erik,

Thanks for the compliment. That watch is a Baume and Mercier Hampton Spirit. The box is a Scatolo Del Tempo winder. I am very happy I have it, since the moonphase Patek 5055 (in for the 30K service) is a pain to reset.

    Adam,

Very nice! You definitely got the Rolex line well represented. What do you have that is more complicated? Do you shop at Westime?

DL, nothing too complicated, I am partial to the more modern, and sport watches. I have bought most of my watches when traveling internationaly, the only place I have bought from in LA, is Feldmars on Pico in the West LA/BH area. The next one I buy will probably be a Panerai.

Great choice! Mine is a limited edition power reserve (1000 made). I am very happy with it. Right now, the Panerai is probably as hot as the stainless Daytona. Around here, Torneau is your only choice... dealerwise.

What do you think of the AP Allinghi Offshore?
