Just wondering what makes these cars so special? Looking over their stats they dont seem that great surely an Enzo would bum rape them? Sorry if I come across as ignorant.

What stats were you looking at... Rim Size? Stereo Wattage? Number of videoscreens?

    You're coming across as ignorant ;) ;)

You have to compare them to cars of their respective times.

They both do, however, get blown away by the Mac F1

Both cars represent benchmarks for performance and engineering for the time period they were built. If you ever have the chance to view one in person don’t just take a glance…take your time to enjoy all of the car….amazing pieces of machinery.

I suspect an Enzo could ...what was it?...."bum rape" a 250GTO, a 250GT SWB, a Testarossa... I suppose all those are total crap just like the F40 and F50.

"Bum Rape?" WTF!?!? ROFL!!! :D :D

If you want to know the significance of these cars, do some research on their names. I'll give you the first one...the "40" in "F40" means 40th anniversary. AND it was the last production Ferrari made before Enzo passed. So, if "40" means 40th anniversary, take a WILD guess at what "50" means in "F50."

The F40 marks 40 years of Ferrari history. It's a main pillar of Ferrari. The F40 and F50 aren't just your normal run of the mill Ferrari - they both mark a key piece of racing history and are both special and unique in their own way.

They stand for a lot more than just their "stats"

Because stats do not necessarily a masterpiece make. While todays cars may out perform on paper, the visceral feel that the 40 and 50 provided have been lost in technological advances. Weight and electronic gadgetry have diluted newer marques.

You didn't come across as ignorant..... only as lacking in hands on experience:) Kindly step away from the stat sheets.............

The F50 had no racing history, just the F40 did.
