the day started off by filling the expasion tank with 50/50 and then burbing the rad and then letting the car getting up to temp! after the rad was done burbing and I took it out for a drive it did run cooler back to where it used to be and lower, got home let it run and all of the sudden a squell from the engine compartment,I jumped out opened the lid and it stopped then it started again then stopped, now I'm worried,is it a bearing,a pulley,or just a belt,I shut it off I looked some more and started it again, nothing no squell noise,I'm thinking its time to have it looked at,I was hoping to do the belts and service next year (maj service)but it could be nothing or something,I don't want it to be a $15k mistake by letting it go and having it to be bebuilt, your thoughts, have you had a squell or a noise that just didn't sit with you???

If you didn't have your AC on I would suggest it is your alt. belt. If you still have the emisson air pumps on it may be one of them. The last possible cause is maybe the water pump bearing is starting to go. This is worse case and if you want to check it take the belt off and manually turn the WP and see if it turn freely or has some resistance or a rough spot. Also look under the WP and see if there is any antifreeze weeping out. How many miles and was the WP ever replaced? Good luck

I've no experience at all with Ferrari's, but could you have gotten a small amount of coolant on the belts? If the Ferrari has automatic tensioner, it shouldn't be an issue. But I've seen some manually adjusted belts slip a bit if they got wet. I don't know about the Ferrari (takes discretion in pushing submit) but maybe it will help?

As a common note, squealing means rubber or bearing. Just out of curiosity, does anyone here change their own belts? I own a car with lower collateral, but was wondering how well I'd be able to service my soon to be Ferrari.
