    Hi!

    I just came across some pics of the Essen Mororshow on a Dutch site. There are two pics of a blue "Ferrari" - at least it has the Prancing Horse on the rims & small Scuderia Logos. The hood emplem is different, though. Any ideas or further info? Is it authorized by Ferrari?

    Looks like a TVR & P3 crossbread (gone wrong) IMO.

    Thanks for adding the pics and the info...after a quicksearch on google I must say that it looks something like good in blue and with those rims - other colors & rims make it look even more hideous.

    s/n is said to be 125009, so can't be a Testarossa? Rather a 360? and the proper name is Sbarro Alcador.

    Allthough it wears a license plate holder I wonder if this is really street legal. The whole greenhouse is totally different from a 360. So major alterations to the main structure. Surely not viable for a one-off?

    A little research reveals that, prior to the appearance of this blue car, there were four or five different cars in the Alcador series. There were originally three TR-based roadsters. There is also a dark gray GTB that one source says is based on a 348tb, but with a V12 engine of some type. The last one to make the rounds before this blue car was a silver one commissioned by Fredy Lienhard (formerly of Lista Racing and more recently of Lista Office Furniture) which was officially named the "Sbarro Lista Office." Different sources claim that it is either TR-based or 360-based. As you point out, Peter, the blue car here is said to be 360-based.

    Why can't Franco Sbarro just keep his hands off beautiful cars and start designing, whatever, dishwashers??? There isn't a single person on the world who has more harm to my eyes than him... :(

    It has 360 brakes so I would say that is the platform.


    Very Lola T70esq roof design. Too bad about the side treatment, in many other ways it isn't bad.
