I called to order a Noah cover but the sales person talked me into the Weathershield. It was said to be a lot lighter and folds up smaller, but gives better weather protection. It's also about twice as expensive.

    Can anyone compare these covers?

I'm gonna get flamed for this one I'm sure....

I use a $39 cover from PepBoys, made by Budge. I only use it indoors, and it doesn't fit real well -- but it keeps the dust off the car.

For those of you who are about to say "Daniel, you idiot. That crappy cover will scratch the car when you slide it on and off!" I'll reply with, "yeah, so will your $200 egyptian cotton/virgin wool cover if it hits the floor. Moreover, when the cover is on the car, the outside of the cover gets coated with dust and dirt. The next time you install or remove it, there's 100% likelihood that some of that dirt will get schusshed around the 'inside' of the cover".

Just to be clear: I'm a detail fanatic and obsess over a pristine car.

Honestly, if I had $200 to spare on a nice cover I'd be happy to get one. In the meantime, I'm buying tires, oil, gasoline, and all the stuff that makes DRIVING more enjoyable. Why on earth would I spend money to make NOT DRIVING the car easier?

    Bah humbug.

    :)

It's even easier when you don't own a black car.

Just bout for my new Ferrari:
California Car Cover's "Superweave" for outside.
Griot's "FormFit" spandex cover for inside.

Never had either before (have had many others- mostly "srormweave") & will let you know next year how it goes. Have had 4 cars in my driveway forever.

Jack, I also use a "budge" cover indoors. I guess this is a confession.
