With the driving season coming up, I'm sure we are all asking ourselves many of the same questions. What tires? Oil change? Belt Change? Waxes and Polishes? Ice Scrapers?

I was doing the exact same thing last night and just couldn't get to sleep. What IS the best ice-scraper for a Ferrari? With that very large and curved windshield oddly shaped windows, a normal one just wont do the job. I'm sure I'm not alone in having tried several different types over the years, and moreso than not, different ones during one season!

I just greased up my brake rotors this weekend and want to be able to get out there and drive soon, so any input would be excellent!

    Thanks!

I bet this guy is NOT leaving the car outside to get snowed upon. Instead, he's probably more conscientious than any of us, and keeps his car in cryogenic storage to prevent any deterioration or aging. The ice is probbaly from condensation when he brings it out to drive.

Platinum AMEX card, gets into all the corners, won't scratch the glass.

What part of the brake rotor needs grease?

Use the carbon fiber splitter on the front of an F40LM. That should be sufficient to scrape all your ice, maybe even your neighbors too.

Why, there it is. On the shelf, clearly in view. Extremely dusty and right next to the fresh box of kinibley pins and muffler bearings along with the note I wrote to be sure and change the oil in the battery. Yepper; there she is.

I hope whoever takes your advice understands sarcasm...:):):) I wince at the thought of it. There are other things more important than ice that would melt if you did that.

Man, here I am working on getting my first 308, and I didn't even consider that! Maybe 60 Grit sandpaper? I was going get that anyway to help freshen up the paint finish.

I would use a credit card for light ice. Some may prefer a debit card.

Otherwise I would get out the ice scraper in the SUV abd use that.

In the several years I have owned a Fcar, I have never had to use an ice scraper. So this is just a specualtion for me at this point.

Dust removal from the outside body is another matter. Just drive fast enough to blow the dust off. Problem solved. :)

That's so wrong !!! Platinum if you're only of the proletariate......For teh uber-worthy F-cars, only the elusive BLACK card (or mythical Diamond) will do. Of course, only held between two Grey Poupon lids for a handle.

    Jeez. . . . . . . . .

Actually a friend told me to use hot water in a ziploc bag and rub the glass with it, and it will melt the ice and not get you all wet. Works like a charm.

I'd be very wary of thermal shock.....if you poured it on it'd blow out the glass, obviously.......

I just go back inside and call in sick.......
