ok bad idea for a Ferrari, but you get the idea...but seriously, de-ice the windows? There's absolutely no way I'd even buy the car if I didn't have indoor storage...

or how about some transparent big tear off strips ala helmet visors.. a quick pull and off you go!

Yea, but your wheels might be missing...in fact, the whole car might be missing. I'd park it indoors. The sun kills paint and tires. Car covers are OK but not as good as indoors IMHO.

Frankly, I use the same marine grease I use on the prop shaft of my boat. That way, when I wash underneath the car The mufflers don't squeak.

 

That one they lost disintegrated at 3,000 MPH.....dunno if that's nautical miles or regular ones....no real difference I suppose........

Reminds me of the time I took my TR in for service and the tech told me my transmission was gone! Common occurrence on the older TR's he said, and also this model year requires TWO transmissions.

I have a 5 gallon bucket of salt that I got from the highway dept and just throw some on the windshield to melt the ice. Now with the warm weather approaching dont forget to change the fluid in the fallopian tubes.

 

I'm sure you know that the Maximum Blinking Potential (MBP) is inversely proportional to the volume of Xenon and/or hydrogen sulfide gas.

 

TOTLDOM never mentioned with what model Ferrari he is having icing issues. Earlier models through the 355 used an analog ice scraper whereas later models, from the 360 onwards, and including the 550 and 456 M all require a digital scraper. And, don't forget that it doesn;t matter if yours is a US or Euro model. All use metric ice scrapers.

 

I'm told metric scrapers won't work on US ice, but unfortunately the SAE scrapers won't fit the metric glass on Ferraris either.
