OK I've spent the last couple of months looking at every F&%^@ing F-car on the internet. I also have been researching the prices for all these cars. Man O Man do the prices vary. I thought it would be a good idea to find some prices guides so I started looking with KBB & Eadmonds. That was a waste those guides don't ever list F-Cars. So now here I am mining the internet and come up with these nuggets. NAPA. Gold Book, FML, and last but not least Tom's page with Clyde’s letter (CRML). These things are full of information but it's all different. I haven't found a car yet that the first three agree on price wise, and Clyde? Well that ol' boy must like Peterbuilts or John Deer tractors cause he sure don't like Italian cars much. If you use the first two then most of the dealers are over pricing their cars 10 to 50%. So where do I go to find the real "right" price of an F-car? All hints accepted.

When you have narrowed your selection down to a couple of choices, you'll then find that the F-Chatters can give you valuable input which won't be available in any buyers' guides. Good luck! :)

http://ferrarimarketletter.com/ This is a good source to find the current prices on all ferrari's in the current month. You have to either subscribe or join as a member on the website.

What kind of car is it that you want to know of? I can look it up for you.

    PM me if so.

Ferrari Market Letter lists asking prices only. In my opinion, most are feel good numbers for the sellers who are manly dealers. Sports Car Market Magazine lists actual auction selling prices. Real market pricing. Very different numbers.

I bought a 512TR listed in the FML at 20% off including a belt job.

    Also check Ebay.

Mahalo to all for the input and information! I have looked at all the sources mentioned. I'm such a novice that I don't yet have a "feel" for the over all market much less the different models. When I was looking for a truck I did much the same thing on the TDR page and by the time I bought one I knew exactly what I wanted and how much to pay for it. I even found the right mechanic to turn it into a 6500 pound Beemer eater. Thanks again for your help. As they say in Hawaii “ Ya’ll come see me ya hear?”

Many will disagree, but I have found (have bought a 355 spider and 360 spider) using eBay sales results as what I call "low retail". Wholesale is always less and the prices will go up from there. I bought my 355 spider after finding it on eBay and it was a perfect car and seller. If you want instant marketing exposure for almost anything, put it on eBay. I have also found that cars that did not sell are close in price to low retail. If you do your research, it is easy to get a feel for the market. You will almost always pay more from any dealer, that is a fact of life. Private sellers and car brokers tend to be the best prices. I live in Kapalua in the winter, where do you live on Maui? When you ask for opinions of prices, take into consideration that some existing Ferrari owners sometimes like to keep prices high and will give "high retail" values. Good luck.
