I took off the Ferrari badge as it wasn't sticking down properly.

this is teh second tiem I've had the problems as the middle part of teh badge doesn't stay down.

I've removed the residue of teh double sided tape off and have got some new tape, but it's for indoor use only. Doh!!!!

What's the best way to stick the badge down?

Go down to the local DIY store mate and get some 3m double sided tape. In fact there are loads of other types of double sided tape as well.
But no matter what you stick your "Challenge" badge on with, it will not defeat my screwdriver at the next show:tongue:

Double sided tape? That emblem has two posts which go through the decklid and secure to pressed speed nuts.

That's already stuck on now and attached to teh alarm. :D

It's the Ferrari badge on the top of the decklid that's giving me problems.

It also has double sided tape on the ends and in the middle. The middle tape always tends to split and doesn't stick well.

How about using a clear RTV silicon caulking?

It bonds things together well, water won't effect it and you can cut through it with fishing line or piano wire to remove and it shouldn't hurt
    the paint either.

You have to remove ALL wax etc before even trying to stick it, did you do that?

Maybe a swab cleaning of the surface with rubbing alcohol? Did you try asking Al?

Why not scan the actual emblem and have it printed as a decal?

I did the same thing on my 1981 308 GTBi (Euro) to the Ferrari, cavallino and 308 GTBi signs. I thought it looked a lot better on a Rosso corsa car. BTW, I like it even better on the GF.

I agree... when I had my 328 & 308 I painted the front grills on both cars & the cavallino on the rear. Never did the Ferrari logo on the deck lid. I should have though.

the last 2 pics. I found on the net.

    got any pics.
