I have a 1978 308 and am thinking about selling it. What's the best approach to selling it?

    Thanks for any suggestions

Take a look at the market thread sticky for some of the latest thoughts and/or values

If you want to sell it yourself place an ad here and/or EBay else find a dealer you trust to consign it SOR

Maybe this post will be enough of an advert

Put it on CL and Ebay. It will find itself into a lot of other sites that way.

The biggest problem is sorting out the real buyers from the rest of the riff-raff. I suggest you tell them to bring a letter from their insurance co. showing coverage if they want to drive the car. If they are not willing to go to that length, then they are not serious. Or put some other obstacle in the way that will deter all but the determined buyer. Sounds illogical but it will save you a ton of time dealing with time-wasters and thrill-seekers.

One sold on BaT just now for $61,000 plus %5 fee.
See how yours compares to that one and that gives you a starting point.
