Well, I'll be going off the college in a couple years, and was wondering what the new "big thing" is.

I know Pharmacy is on the rise.
Biotechnology looks like, it's becoming more and more important.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Yes, a very interesting idea, and one I hope develops into a viable treatment. However, the problem remains how to target cancer cells and not healthy cells. Current chemo treatments would work well if we can find an antigen specific to cancer cells.
Cancer cells are basically healthy cells that are not functioning properly, so how do we reliably differentiate the two? This is the real trick, and one we still need an answer for.

In the medical field in the US, I suspect the big money is in tests. Tests, tests, and more tests. If you have a headache, the doctor orders tests. If you collapse on stage, the doctor orders tests. It's the "big market".

I'm amazed nobody thought of that earlier. That's so obvious, it's brilliant.
